Or written out the Civil Air Patrol. There is a group near my location and I wanted to know if any of you were/are in the program so I could get recommendations as to either or not to join. A little help here?

CAP is a pretty cool program to get into. It's something that a whole ton of people enjoy doing. You'll like it.

Civil Air Patrol is the official auxilary of the Air Force. It has 3 missions. 1) Aerospace education 2) Emergency Services 3) Cadet program
The emergency services for example is basically search and rescue. You do a lot of downed plane searches. Aerospace Education is a program that was created to give kids a positive outlook and good understanding on aviation.
CAP meetings are pretty interesting from what I hear because there is always some sort of military atmosphere.
CAP has the same ranks as the Air Force and you wear their uniform with modifications.

That sounds a lor better than Boy Scouts. None of the scouts have any disipline you know?

Very cool, but i dont like navy uniforms, too white ya know? Is there a USMC version of the Sea Cadets or the Civil Air Patrol?
