It's full-fledged seek & destroy. I will NOT lie, or attempt to ruin a person's reputation. But I will do everything in my power to rip apart that person physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Then, they'll ruin their reputation themselves.

Quote: How far do you guys go when you seek revenge against someone? As far as you wish without causing problems in your own life, or getting caught. It is also important to consider all the repercussions of a situation, and whether or not revenge is really worth it. Consider LaVey's story of the death of Jayne Mansfield as an example.

I would advise that people keep it within legal boundaries.
I recently came up with a fine example of how when you over-do it as far as revenge is concerned, you have absolutely nothing to gain--and everything to lose.
So, let's say you decide to exact revenge on someone... Let's say you kill them. WELP, that's illegal folks, and by killing someone, you will lose your freedom. This includes your freedom to indulge and your freedom to advance... Very un-Satanic.
Doesn't matter if you're caught or you make it free--or if you're charged for murder or simple assault. If it is illegal you will lose something. The law might punish you, or you might severely limit your own ability to advance in the world because you will need to lay low.
Normally, I could illustrate that in a much more logical manner... But it is 5:00 AM right now and I am tired as hell... ><;;;

You can find a quote near the end of Satan Speaks. wink Still, it wouldn't be a choice of mine. On topic here, I do everything within legal boundaries. When seeking revenge, I wait. I wait untill I know my enemy inside and out. I wait untill i know the weaknesses and strongpoints. Once I feel i've got enough knowledge on the enemy, I find the weaknesses and hammer down on them to the best of my ability.

Honestly, I think that seeking immediate, physical revenge is unbecoming of a Satanist. We have a notorious reputation for being the secluded intellectual types--not the braindead morons who swing a punch to the face of someone who simply tapped them on the shoulder.

despite the fact that revenge is ok for me, I rarely go out of my way to exact it. Its amusing and all but honestly I dont give a s**t most of the time, and I've never had anyone wrong me to the point where I feel the need to retalitae. Basically you do what you feel is right. Its all about you man, and hovever far you feel like going thats how far you go.

again, i am not satanic. i'm general pagan. my views on revenge are good and simple. as extreme as the situation requires, as long as you can get away with it. a vengeance killing seems quite valid to me, as does torturing a person to death. just be sure you leave no evidence behind. i'm sure several people will disagree with me on this, but it seems a small thing to kill someone when they've commited far more heinous crimes against those you love(rape for example). they die, and their victims don't have to live with knowing the same person could come after them again.

My views on revenge are such:
I always try to look at the situation from am outside perspective... Emotions can severly distort one's sense of balance of a situation you see....
I then wiegh the repruccions of the 'equal' punishment. If they are worse than the actual wrongdoing, then it is NOT worth it.
In the even that the repruccions are less, go for it, but don't go out of our way.
Now personally, I simply convert it. Why wast me energy on petty revenge? As much as I would love to rip someone's heart straight out of their chest and feed it to them, I compromise by using that energy and frustration to do somehtign to better myself. For example: My teacher has wronged me. as much as I would love to see that man die, I aslo see that it woudl not balance. Instead, I now sit and do my classwork, because I REFUSE to let the pathetic excuse for a human being ruin my senior year, and hold me back from advancement... (A student who scored high enough for Ivy Leauge yet gets a D- in regular level Language Arts?)

Revenge.
Lets see. I do only get revenge on those who piss me off to an extent or harm me, or a friend/loved one.
Usualy i'm actually an easy going guy. Not alot of people are dumb enough to mess with me, or anybody I know.

For me, it depends on what they did. I won't go as far as doing something to cause me to get thrown in jail though.
If they actually harm myself or someone I care about, I will do everything in my power to cause them harm both physically and mentally. Anymore, none of these Christians mess with me, except a few that I just ignore since they act like little children. So I don't have to worry about revenge much.
If it's something small, I won't even bother. It would just be a waste of my time to even bother with the likes of them; I have better things to do than to deal with child acting fools.

I have never hurt someone physically on purpose. If someone pisses me off enough, I am merciless when it comes to hurting them emotionally. For the most part though, I don't waste my energy and time on it. Most people that irritate me are petty.

When I get revenge on someone, its maily mentally and emotionally. It depends on the extent to which the hurt me or someone I care about. If they say or do something that is just petty, and doesnt effect the person they did it to much, then I just tell them off and leave it at that. But if they really cause hurt or distress to someone i care about, then I can get cruel and merciless with my words.

Revenge is a strong drive... and expressing it is bringing balance. However, one has to be careful and thoughtful about it, as revenge is a dish best served cold (except in the case of rituals, where it is good to be angry). One must be sure that this person was the one who wronged you, and that they did it on purpose. And one has to make sure that this isnt just something that is too unimportant for the energy one puts in it. However, if someone has wronged you on purpose, and it is a big deal, then revenge is a way of balancing this out and hopefully preventing it from happening in the future.

I'm not a Satanist, so prehaps my veiws on this matter are a little skewed.
In short, I rarely have the time for revenge. I could go out of my way to destroy a person, or I could just get on with my life. I tend to do the latter.
