Was this seance real?
No!!! John would never show up in a place like that!
Maybe. John's moods changed quite a bit. He could have.
Yes. Why wouldn't he want the world to know he's still around?

I'm sure all of you hard-core Lennon fans know about the supposed seance that they were making into a "pay-per-view" event. Some guy supposedly channeled him.

I'm a little ticked off about this. I believe in mediums (long story), but I have a strong feeling that the guy was faking it to get money and attention. What do you guys have to say about this?

I don't believe in mediums(that's just my opinion), and I don't believe that guy is legit. He's just trying to use a famous, great, man who happens to be dead to promote himself. It's disgusting. I heard Yoko is trying to stop it. Or was. Did it happen yet?

Did anyone see the Colbert Report last night? they were making fun of that payperview seance by contacting Lennon on the show.

Steven Colbert contacted the ghost of John Lennon using a Candle, The Beatles Number 1 CD and an old radio. It was really funny. It's obviously fake and the voice they had used for ghost! John was really good.
They'll be showing it again at (CST) 7:30 today.

If you miss it you can go on Comedy Central's website (http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_colbert_report/index.jhtml) and find it. I can't do it because this computer doesn't have flash and I can't download it. >_<

I'm not sure if I believe anything like that, but I do happen to think this is ridiculous. Good money maker though.. and I'm sure if John was contacted, he would want his message heard loud and widespread and wouldn't want it to be broadcast on pay-per-view so that only the priveleged people get to see it. Not John at all. Silly guy.

I wish John were still alive. He'd be so royally ticked off about people trying to milk his spirit for some extra cash. I'll bet Yoko is furious.

I'm pretty sure it's fake, for the reasons Kimmeh stated. I doubt that if John's spirit were contacted, he'd want it to be broadcast on freakin' pay-per-view.

I have no doubt in my mind that all that is utter money-making s**t put on by greedy money-hungry prima donnas who're tapping in to John Lennon's cash rather than his spirit. *clenches fists* JUST GIMME SOME TRUTH!!!! scream

Anyway, John doesn't NEED psychics to contact his spirit. He's still working, living, inspiring, and creating music. He's OUT there. His message lives on. In fact, he's as much/more alive as he was before the winter of 1980, I believe. No high-paid phony mystic is gonna say anything he can't say for himself. He doesn't NEED an avatar. heart crying

So...can anyone tell me any paranormal experiences they had? (You don't have to believe in ghosts, just an unexplainable event.)

I have lots of dreams, but every now and again I'll have a very deep, I mean very deep dream that will change my opinion on something. The deepest ones were these:

Back in late May or so, I dreamed that I was crying while climbing a wooden latter to a loft in a cabin, but my feet kept slipping on the rungs, which were wet from my tears. I eventually made it up there, and there was a picture of John inside a frame whose glass was cracked, a dusty guitar, and a note that said "All you need is love."
When I woke up the next morning, I found it was impossible for me to hate Mark David Chapman.

A few months ago, I had a dream that was as randomly trippy as ever, but my first thought upon waking up was "Forgiveness is a war on hatred and the jealousy we have of our own selves, not a pardoning of another's sins."
I didn't really knew what that was supposed to mean, but I thought it was pretty profound, and it's helped me out quite a bit since then. Very zen.

That's very impressive-write that down somewhere. You might need it for a book or something.

My experience was that on the night of December 8 two years ago, I woke out of a dead sleep. It was around four in the morning. From the other side of the room (no one there but me and the door was LOCKED o.o anyway, there was lots of anger and sadness coming from that side of the room. I wasn't awake all the way, thus the first word out of my mouth was "John?"

Whatever it was, it moved closer.
"If that's you, you have to show me," I said.
I was laying on my stomach. There was a gentle touch on my back-I hadn't moved, I swear, and the covers dented in. Then, a butt-print appeared-as though he were sitting on the bed. "Let it be" played on the radio. I think I passed out. When I woke, my mirror was fogged up and the words "Don't be afraid, it's only me." were printed in the mist as though someone had drawn them with their finger.
