I shunned Disturbed about 4 years ago due to the flooding waves of soundalike s**t that was coming out. Bands like Taproot, Machinehead, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach and hundreds of other Roadrunner favourites were releasing the same albums over and over again and none of it had any merit or talent. When the big shift came and Nu-Metal died, and emo took over, Most of the above bands decided to 'diversify' their style by essentially becoming trashy nu-metal sounding post hardcore bands. Disturbed however, having just released a new album 'Ten Thousand Fists' did not. They clung to their original style with passion and conviction. This earned them respect in my eyes. So with an open mind I checked out the back catalogue once more. What I heard was the best nu-metal act to have ever existed. David has a fantastic and original voice and his hooks ( Oh-Wahahahaha, Awwh Awwh, Saaaawwhh) which many revile so fiercely, I find to be a fantastic addition to the music. They're never overused and serve as a excellent tool to diversify his voice. The riffs, although simple, are incredibly catchy and they never fail to get my head rocking. I would suggest to people wanting to hear more Disturbed, to go with songs like Mistress, Prayer, Remember and Darkness rather than 'Get Down With The Sickness' which is overplayed and has the weakest most-angsty bridge of any song in the world.

Stormbeard David has a fantastic and original voice and his hooks ( Oh-Wahahahaha, Awwh Awwh, Saaaawwhh) which many revile so fiercely, I find to be a fantastic addition to the music. They're never overused and serve as a excellent tool to diversify his voice.
that is the one and only reason i find to listen to Disturbed. his voice and the lyrics to their songs are just so cool. and they do have CATCHY music, which is always a plus. i personally hated their new album, with the exception of a song or two...(note: i only heard it while doing other things, i never actually sat down and listened to it as i don't have it)
fav song: "Down with the Sickness" (i wish i could do the oh-wahahaha thing... crying )

chaos.ultima.mage that is the one and only reason i find to listen to Disturbed. his voice and the lyrics to their songs are just so cool. and they do have CATCHY music, which is always a plus. i personally hated their new album, with the exception of a song or two...(note: i only heard it while doing other things, i never actually sat down and listened to it as i don't have it) The new album is a lot more mature than their other albums. Songs like Overburdened and Mistress show that they've grown, and the title track 'Ten Thousand Fists' has a real a**-kicking Manowar chorus aspect to it.

Disturbed is a great band. I'm listening to them right now actually lol. Dropping Plates 3nodding I'd say their best album is Down With The Sickness. but I havent really heard the new album either, just Ten Thousand Fists. but that was a pretty good song

Rockstar_imn Disturbed is a great band. I'm listening to them right now actually lol. Dropping Plates 3nodding I'd say their best album is Down With The Sickness. but I havent really heard the new album either, just Ten Thousand Fists. but that was a pretty good song If you can get hold of Believe, that's probably the best album. It's full of killer riffs and kicks.

I really love Disturbed, probably also because of David Draiman's individual-sounding voice, lyrics, and of course the simple yet heavy instrumentals. They're just so awesome. David Draiman all the way.

I was a Disturbed fan before I was a power metal fan. Ten Thousand Fists is really sweet. While Disturbed stuck to their original style, they added in more metal elements, such as guitar solos and some double bass kicks. Best Nu-metal band. Period. ******** Slipknot, ******** Korn, ******** Adema and P.O.D.

Down With the Sickness (I just skip the bridge. THe riff is sweet though)

Ive always like disterbed, no matter what 'metal heads' sead about them being shity nu metal. Only two nu metal bands have sticked out to me, Thats them, and System of a Down (the singers erry sounding voice mixed with guitar that has a almost, middle eastern sound to it). Though i have not lissaned to Ten thousand fists yet, i was addicted to belive for quite a wile. The song 'rise' is like, one of my pump up songs. It really gets the juices flowing.

as much as i despise nu-metal, disturbed rocks. i have all their albums(3... whoopdedoo!!) and well, their s**t is catchy, it gets stuck in your head, and its just badass. except for the songs liberate and deify. the radio killed liberate, and deify is a bushbash... and that is the only thing i have to say "******** YOU!" to disturbed about
