Is this proposed plan for boycotting gas for a day going to cause: any price reduction and compromise of oil comapanies? a price spike to keep profits up? more sales for the oil comapanies as sales hit a record high the next day?

I guess this again is a major issue. Even though teh gas prices dropped really low a few months ago, I guess this spike was expected because in the world of money and business a low is usually followed by a spike in price. The oil comanies will definetly drop because if people start boycotting gasoline, the compaines will lose even more millions of dollars than if they just lowered the price per gallon.
But then again this is only my opinion. 3nodding

Actually here in Oregon, there have been a few pumps that ahve dropped their price, but the major companies like Shell and Chevron are still keeping their price up.
