Q: What is the contest forum for?
A: It is where you can post any contest you may have in mind. (such as Avatar contests)
Q: Can't we just post them in the great hall?
A: No. We are afraid posting your contest threads might overwhelm the Great Hall. The great hall was meant for general Harry Potter discussion, announcements, and for all of the houses to intermingle with one another.
I thought it was a rather nifty idea, to create such a forum.
You do not have to base your contest on Harry Potter, unless you would like to.
