I'm currently working on a very detailed medieval scroll, 22 x 24 inches in size, with a 3.5 inch border around the text area. It's detailed enough to measure the width of the vines with a micrometer.
Anyway, I drew the thing on scrap paper, so I could draw and erase as much as needed. That's standard. Carbon transferring the thing to the final paper is killing my hand, though.
I have all the materials to construct a light table that would be large enough, but haven't had the time when I also had the needed help (the glass light case is HEAVY). This thing would be so very much easier if I had the light table!
Oh well. I have it about 80% transferred now, anyway. Once I get it all transferred, I need to go over the lines with black ink, then erase all the carbon (okay, graphite), before I can start painting it.
I HAVE to have the thing done by May 18, to be displayed May 19-20 at a tournament.

Well the time has passed but instead of using a light table you can just tape the original to a window during the day and tape the paper that you want it ontop :B
