Actually I did end up getting a block of chocolate for my mother....it just doesn't seem like enough though. I also got a set of pens, but yeh, I want to get her something she likes. And I don't know what type of flowers she'd like.
Besides, she sorta likes her plants alive and in the soil. So if I do get her flowers they'll come in a pot, not a bouquet.

even though i hate the whole gift certificate thing... (dont get me started)
if you know a place she likes to go for stuff... like for coffee, a pedicure, to buy any kind of special personal treat, try that.
otherwise... well... plants in pots are nice.
