I don't know if this should be placed somewhere else, but if it is supposed to be, feel free to delete this mods.
Lately some strange things have been happening to me. I've become overly paranoid. More paranoid than usual, that is. And I've been having some sort of hallucinations, I think. I keep seeing people and then they're not there once I blink. What should I do about this?

List everything you're taking, including over-the-counter medicines.

You need to go to the emergency room. Frequent hallucinations can be indicative of potentially fatal conditions such as organ failures, seizure disorders or even brain tumors. You'll need to be put through a battery of testing at your local hospital including blood draws, CT scans, EEGs and maybe even an MRI before a doctor should even consider screening you for a mental-illness cause. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious! Good luck!

I'm not taking anything. I'm not on drugs of any kind, whether legal or not. But, I can't afford to go to the Emergency Room.

I'm really not sure what you should do, given your options. Have you tried asking your doctor about it via phone, e-mail, etc.? Anyways, good luck...take care of yourself, all right? (on another note, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT watch any animes or crime-drama shows [like Without a Trace or something] if you're getting paranoid...)

Definitely not watching TV. I'm kinda paranoid about being on here too. Perhaps it's because I've had a stalker before? I get paranoid sometimes. It's all David Riddle's fault. Whoever that is. He was my stalker, but we never caught him. Which is making me more paranoid. That, and the fact this car has been circling the block for the past half hour, going really slowly.

Wow, are hallucinations really that bad? I hallucinate all the time, but I think it's HPPD.

Well, these are just weird. I don't have hallucinations frequently. And some of these things happen at night in my room when i'm trying to sleep. And these strange men will be standing over me and yeah. It's freaks me out. And then I think someone could be there when they go away so i stay up listening for something. And then I hear the slightest thing and I go nuts and stay up longer and longer until I've convinced myself that it's just the cats and then I can go back to sleep.

Wait, do you have all of these "hallucinations" when you are trying to sleep? Or do they occur during the day when you are awake, as well?
If it is only when you are going to sleep, I suggest you look into "sleep paralysis" and "night terrors." If not, I agree, see a doctor ASAP.

They happen both during the day and at night, but mostly at night.

Ares I can't afford to go to the Emergency Room. Neither could I. If you can't pay, you won't. The state paid for my hospital stay and all the tests. You can't afford to die of a brain tumor, organ failure or having a siezure so bad that you suffocate either.

You could be having stress-induced hallucinations. I had a couple of those a while back, but it was nothing serious. Hopefully, yours aren't either, but you need to get checked out just in case.
