So what part of the backstory do you need help with? It seems pretty firm to me.

I guess I'm the sort of person that likes to delve deep into childhoods/motives. xd I'm crazy thorough, that's just me.

Personifying your parakeet is a crazyawesome idea. xd This whole thing sounds crazyawesome, in fact. And kickass, too.

Too bad Auto dies. cry

He only dies because it's convient for the film version surprised Chances are when/if I adapt it to noveldom, he won't die.

I haven't quite figured out where he figures into the story yet, since the novel version has no conflict (ideas for that would be great too xd >___>')

Glad you like him whee

His original (parakeet ---> human) charactcer was vain, obsessive compulsive, and prone to violent mood swings. He's far saner now surprised (because, think about it. if most pets were human, they'd be dangerous O_O)

@_@ Due to my overwhelming culture confusion induced by an entire year of German classes, I see Auto's name and want to pronounce it "OW-toh" like the German word for "car."

It's like how I keep confusing the pronounciation of "foot" and "boot." But at least my language hasn't completely slipped and caused me to say "boat" whenever I see "boot."

And here I shall admit to you my secret bane: I'm no help with plotlines and conflicts. sweatdrop I can hardly even think of my own! That's why I stick narrow-mindedly to one story for so long--I can't think of anything else to do!

I just love your profiles.

You just posess such an intense level of non-suckage.

There's nothing I can really do to complain, which is damnable.

As for plot, it really depends on what you want to write. It's usually best to just think up a list of conflict possibilities (a traitor in the system; someone abusing dream-making power to achieve malicious goals; etc.) and decide which plotbunny you want to rip the ears off of, cook on a spit and turn into a story.

Mmmm, plotbunnies. domokun Try sautee-ing them in butter with mushrooms. Add garlic and cheese to taste. You can never go wrong with garlic and cheese. biggrin

He sounds like a completely fun character. That's a wild plot you're working with (at least it sounds pretty wild to me). I have trouble with conflict developement too. That's why I write short stories. My plots resove themselves too fast for a novel.

I love him even more now! I have a character based on my cat and yes, basing characters on your pets is fun, but they turn out quite mad. 3nodding
