What are you reading and do you recommend it?

I am reading Rogue Planet which is a Star Wars book. It's ok, but I am struggling to get though it because it seems bogged down right where I am. Also the chapters switch back and forth between this one character and our main characters so I don't like the predictability of that. There are a couple of spots of nice science fiction in it, like the spaceship of this sort of watery being and his food-kin. Interesting. Still I would not recommend it unless you are a die-hard SW fan.

I'm reading
S. Sahharnov
Po Moryam Vokryg Zemlii .. or something like that, it's hard to type it without cyrillic alphabet. But in english it means basically Around the world by sea. A book from 1972.

Recommend it? Even if I did the chances of any of you finding this book would be slim and none. But it's an excelent book, I've read it through about 5 times or more and it's not a tiny one either, over 400 pages.

Right now I'm reading a tiny little book called On Bullshit by Harry G. Frankfurt...it's not really an in-depth book at all, but it's a fun little read if you're bored (it's only 67 pages long)...

I'm also in the middle of The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. It's an interesting read...probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it's fairly decent.

I'm kind of in between books right now. Heh, actually, what with finals coming up next week, I'd better be reading my textbooks. For the first time all semester.... sweatdrop

I'm not reading anything enjoyable, I have exams soon, starting on the of the 5th of June and ending on the 12th, with 7 exams in that time, so, I just read college books.

I'm reading The Da Vinci Code written by Dan Brown. It's an outstanding book for readers at the High School or College/University level. I would strongly recommend it to avid readers of the thriller genre. 3nodding

I am reading "The Prince," which is all of the books (apparently, anways) in the Falkenberg's Legion saga. It's a bit of a sleeper, but I am enjoying it so far. If you read military science fiction, especially the long drawn out kind, you'll probably like it.

I'm reading Kamikaze Girls by Novala Takemoto

I saw the film version a few months ago. Two very different girls in rural japan search for a legendary embroiderer.

I'm reading a collection of essays by Emerson. So far it's pretty dull. The 1850's english doesn't help.

Yay for comic books! *cheers*

Oh, so many books mentioned! I looked up Sahharnov but there is only one mention of this person on the net that I could find.

GR and Skully, I should be studying too. meh.

Wizzy - I tried to read that and got bogged down, but I am a SF and Fantasy person.

entervixen - that might be my cup of tea, I do like military SF. Like Pournelle for example. Also what's his name who did Ender's Game. I love the Dorsai too and ....ugh, drawing a blank, I want to say Foundation and Empire, but I think that is not right.

I am attempting to read The Godfather by Mario Puzo, but it's not going very quickly because of other stuff I have going on right now. It's an excellent book, though, and I only have 50 or so pages left.

Oh I read that book a long time ago. I thought it was good too. Rough in spots but gripping.
