Prologue
Red liquid dripped onto the sawdust covered floor. The dim lights flickered as a small whimper arose from the cloth covered box. She turned to her left and saw her handy work from a few minuets ago and smiled. Hanging from the ceiling was a body, it was covered in wounds and still oozing with crimson blood. Reaching forward she touched the flesh and licked the virgin's blood off of her thin pale fingers. She laughed shrilly and stepped forward to the mirror on the wall. Touching it she smiled at her reflection, her blonde hair fell over her shoulders. She stared thoughtfully into her grey eyes and watched them grow red before she turned towards the corner, where the whimpers where coming from.Opening her mouth she revealed her fangs to the cages stuffed with corpes that looked down on her, she licked her lips before walking calmly to the cloth covered box.
"Little one..." She cooed into the box, "Little one, do you want to play?" She place a sweet and innocent smile on her face so as to not scare the little girl away. Pulling the purple cloth she slowly revealed her latest toy, A little girl with hair like her own, her face was covered by her hands as she tried to sheild herself from the fate of the vampiress' last toy. She moved the latch from the top, slowly lifted the heavy wooden lid.
The girl looked up with sudden fear as the light flooded into the box, she coward as close to the sides as possible. That ofcouse amused the woman standing above her, making her show her fangs as she laughed at the little girl's attemtes of hiding away from her fate, her destiny. She cried as the vampiress reached in and lifted her up gently, placing her on the table. Straping the little girl up she smiled at the tiny face in front of her, this girl must only be 10. She layed out her equipment on the table. "Little one.." She cooed again this time in a mock baby voice. "Is the little one scared?" She laughed, she reached and touched the little girls soft cheek and dug her long nails into her flesh. The girl screamed in pain as blood seeped from her skin.
"Please don't.." She sobbed as the vampiress giggled silently to herself. "I'll do anything.." She whimpered quietly. The vampiress laughed harder as she turned to the fire place and took out a poker and put it into the flames. Looking back at the little girl she blew her a kiss mocking her.
"You're not going anywhere little one, soon you shall be dead. Even if I let you go you'll be dead in a matter of days!" She screamed the last words moving forward and slapping the girl getting blood on her fingers. She licked the crimson liquid off her hand, her eyes rolled back savoring the taste of the little girl. "You know, you taste really good, I might just chop you up and let your blood roll off the table and into the drain pipe." She ran a finger along the half of pipe around the table lovingly. "It collects the blood that's otherwise wasted." She said, a smile forming on her lips. "I think I'll play with you a while, first I'll whip you, making blood drip down, then if I choose to, I'll kill you. Isn't that fair?"
She smiled bitterly reaching for the whip on the hook, unraveling it she readied herself. Raising her arm behind her head she laughed once more before thrashing the whip onto the girl's back with a crack. The girl screamed loudly as the whip peirced her skin through the rags that was once a grand dress. Once again she lifted her hand; still laughing from the girl's weeping, and with a crack a second cut formed onto the little girl's back. She screamed in pain, hot tears flowing from her closed eyes. Smiling boldly the vampiress dropped the whip onto the stone floor and reached for the poker she had placed in the fire. She was going soft, letting a 10 year old die before too long. She climbed onto the table with her feet either side of the girl and drove the poker into the back of her head. there was a sickening crunch then blood squirted out of her head like a fountain. She just laughed.
Moments later a voice could be heard from the room above calling, then a smash of glass. The vampiress looked above her, eyes once again glowing red, her fangs grew. Running out of the room she grabbed her whip, cracking it once; then chasing the sounds from the room above. She slammed the door shut carrying on up the staircase. The carpet's had droplets of blood covering them, the walls were covered in hand marks and scratches where the toys where fighting to break free. She stopped and placed her ear against the large wooden door and listened. Footsteps, slowly and faintly coming towards the door. She reached for the handle and gently turned it. Looking out of the crack in the door she froze at the figure standing before her.
"Well, well, well." He said, chuckling slightly as he saw the petrified look on the vampiress' face. She opened the door fully and bowed before him. Reaching down the man took her chin and made her rise up. "Hello Ellenor, Did you miss me?" H dug his nails into her pale flesh, she gritted her teeth and whispered "yes." He laughed and slapped her. Throwing her to the floor, he looked at the markings on the wooden door. A dragon and a knife, the symbol in the clan for death. He opened the door and stepped down the stair case, as soon as he opened the door at the bottom the smell of blood came wafting out, it made him feel sick to the stomach, he only killed as a way to survive, not like Ellenor, killing was her fun.
Walking into the room he didn't know what to expect, dead bodies? Rotting corpses? Maybe even many live people awaiting their fate. He stepped in, fearing what he was going to see. Looking up his eyes landed on the child on the table, her little body was covered in gashes made by a whip, and her head was cracked. Blood was covering the ceiling and floors. He touched her cheek, she was still warm on his hand. This was done only moments before he arrived! He looked to the right, another body hanging from the ceiling, her mouth wide open in a silent scream, her eyes were rolled back.
"Amir!" Came a voice from the stairs, Ellenor was standing at the door frame looking down at her feet. He didn't notice before but she was covered head to foot in crimson, Amir looked at her in disgust before pushing past her and leaving the room. "Amir don't run away from me! Its what our kind does! You just can't handle it!" She shrieked at him as he walked calmly up the stairs.
