Brendon and I were in the same classes for school-- we had exactly the same schedule. As if it wasn't bad enough being grouped together by friends and relatives automatically because we were twins, we had to be stuck together at school, too. Brendonandalice.
'Hey. Alice.'
'Yeah?'
'Ryan told me to give you this.' Brendon handed me a scrunched-up note.
'Really?'
'Awwwh. Best friends forever.'
I grabbed the note from him and poked him hard. Ryan and I were , in fact, best friends. He was a senior, two years older than me. Us. I opened the note and smoothed out the wrinkles.
Hey, AliceMalice.
We've got practice at 5, meet me at the Caboose at 6 and we'll talk, kay babe?

'Hmmm... I don't know... you weren't too nice to me...'
I sighed and slipped a hand into my pocket, then withdrew it, clutching a ten-dollar bill. Brendon grinned and snatched it from me. 'Okay, I'll do it.'
'Thank you,' I grinned, and went back to filling out my worksheet.
*that afternoon*
I checked my watch for the 7th time that minute and kicked at some of the trash--mostly condom wrappers-- that littered the ground. The Caboose was a place where kids came to... well, it was secluded, and quiet, so what else would they do here? But it was also our meeting spot, mine and Ry's.
It was 6:10. He was ten minutes late-- very unlike him. I heard a cracking noise behind me and turned around. It was Ryan, smiling sheepishly.
'Hey,' I greeted him.
'Hey, Miss Malice.'
'So, why'd you want to talk?'
He sighed. 'I really don't want to get you into this...'
'Ryan, you know I'd do a lot of s**t for you. Now spit it out.'
'I've gotten into something... and now I'm in way over my head.'
