Well among the lovely answers you have already received I might like to add that:
We don't really think they are bad just hold a bit of a grudge being like the younger sibling or something. They have a lot of power and control over what happens within our own borders - not directly but indirectly through economical reasons and connections to our newly elected moron. And it pisses off anyone when things that should be under their control aren't.
Also as the person above me so eloquently put it: The president is a moron. He has no regard for anyone but himself and has caused worlds of damage to the American reputation and economy while hardly ever being in office. O George we salute your idiocy faithfully.

Ohhh lessee.
I don't hate Americans. I hate the Americans who act like their the centre of the ******** universe. Unfortunately, there are a lot of them.
I don't like the "assimilation" culture, I don't like the "we save u now!11" s**t they pull, I don't like the propaganda the government uses about that stupid war in Iraq. (Uh, what the HELL does 9/11 have to do with it?? Sadam Hussein didn't plan it, Bin Laden did. And he wasn't even Iraqui!}
Oh, and I don't like the fact that so many American citizens are so against human rights. You know, the last time I check, gay people were human?
Gawd. I've met a ton of sweet, nice, open-minded, awesome Americans. I wish the rest of the country was like them.

I dislike Americans. Though, I am friends with some US citizens right now, it's just how the US goveernment is trying to get everything away from us that makes our heritage. Like how they wanted some of this one river on the Canadian border because it was deeper on the other side. DUH, it's a river. Water is equal through it...kinda. I don't hate them, I dislike the rude, insensitive and self-centered ones. The ones that ask, "Where's Canada?"

I don't hate all of them. I just get annoyed at the ones that don't care about anything but themselves and their own country. People I know that have gone to The U.S. have told me stories od Americans saying things like "Wow! Your Canadian? So do you ride your polar bear to school and live in igloos?" or "Where's your parka?"

It either through rivalry, lack of information, or the major streotypes people have on them
Anyhow, I don't hate Americans, and I'm pretty sure you people don't too, it just that some ignorant ones can piss you off. Although people now-a-days tend to get pissed off over Patrioism instead of ignorance which in my book those people are just as bad as the ignorant people.
On second thought, I dislike ignorant people in general - Including ignorant Canadians (only 1 so far).

I myself am a American and I think ii is because both countrys are from the same roots and difrent like two brothers. My freinds think it is becuse they think canadians are pushovers. My teacher actually said that in class. But I guess it depends on points of view.

They had the "Canada" man going up against Sting, and they portrayed him as a total pansy. I think that sort of reflects the general view of our country in America. We're the "nice" guys who run away from fights. D:

i dont think they're bad.. just some of them ruin it for the rest of them... i just came back from the states a while ago .. and this guy comes up to me and says " you speak american good " .. i'm like " no, i speak english well" .. there were other people that were just plain wierd... some other guy comes up to me and says. " so you're canadian eh ? what's that all aboot " .. i'm like wtf?

I'm afraid the post will turn out like a social essay more than anything else...I was going to post it here until I put it into Word to edit it and found it to be something like 2 pages long. eek

the above is pretty much true, but for me, i didn't really care about Americans (exept for the cute Texans heart heart ) until the Iraq crap started. Then i had NO respect for them.
