This rp is not yet open for other posters. I am setting up for.. well, something, and I am not yet ready to admit what. Please, feel free to read along, but keep in mind:
1) What you read here is NOT public knowledge
2) Nothing in here is known by ANY nikko
3) Darcia IS NOT being watched, you may read this but it is NOT being watched.

After his little adventures in the Forbidden Cave, Darcia decided that he had to do a bit of work. This work was rather specific as it delt with some things in the cave that he had seen and he was sure no one else had.
Moving carefully around the Forbidden cave, he saught out the side branch that had caught his eye. The branch was all but impossible to find if you weren't looking for it and several times he passed it before his eye found and locked on the trick needed to make it come into focus.
"Finally.." He snarled to himself, moving to slip between the rocks that seemed to be one solid chunk, and slideing into the cave. The ground under his paws was moist and slimey, and the lighting in there was poor. His eye sight was good though and he was able to pick a safe path over which to travel.

Picking his way carefully along the path through the cave Darcia arched a brow in surprise. The slime that had been in the forbidden cavern had actually premeated the walls and some of it was dripping into this side. That clinched it. This was indeed part of the forbidden cave, it was an offshoot, which ment that somewhere there was likely a way to travel back and forth between them without having to go outside as he had. Darcia made a mental note to look for that path later, he was sure it wasn't the small crack that had let him peer in here, but if that was all then his asumptions were wrong.
Now wasn't the time to think on that though. The black nikko peered around, his blue eye darting this way and that scanning the walls. Soon he would end up in the chamber that he had seen from the other side. The one that had made his heart nearly stop. Squeezing under a very low stalactite Darcia wormed his way into another branching room, this one lit by some interesting moss formations. The glowing moss somehow tookaway some of the rather spooky atmosphere that otherwise seemed to be the basis of the cave itself. Had he not stopped to look up at the glowing moss that moment would have been the end of Darcia.
~Crack~
Darcia's head jerked forward and he looked up.
~Crack... crunch~
From above a very large stalactite gave way and it fell, hitting the ground with a spine jarring thud a few feet in front of him.

Darcia yelped in shock, the stone falling in his path causing him to back up rather hastilly. Takeing a deep shuddering breath he slid past. The stone pressed against his sides as he wriggled and finally made it into a deeper cavern filled with danceing green spores. Sneezeing he pressed on. He had to find the chamber that he had been peering at through the wall of the Forbidden caves.
He sighed and walked farther. He was tired and worn out just from all the shocks that were happening. First the goings on in the other cavern, then the roof falling down on him. Now he was inhaleing many wonderful and potentially deadly toxins that were in the air. Then he found it. The room that he had been looking for.
There before him was a room that was dimly lit showing him.....

Nikko, so many nikko were around him. They were all over, but they were not moving at all. The still nikko seemed to be in some kind of stasis as if waiting for someone to come and see to them. They were all ages and types, some which had never been seen outside the caves before. He moved slowly looking at each of them, seeing the tell tale signs that the moss or slime or whatever from the forbidden cave had touched some of them. Others had been protected in various ways.
He looked down, noseing gently into the side of a tiny infant that was laying very still, the warmth from the bundle showing him that it was just sleeping. Over a few steps away an old battered nikko was laying on its side, seeming to have taken a few wounds protecting a bundle that was under it. It was tragic and also very noble to see this. These could have been some of the first Nikko, yet some of them surely were newer. Was someone bringing them in here?

An amused laugh rang through the area surrounding the cave entrance, adn it wasn't long before the instigater of the laugh appeared as well. Meyial flew along swiftly, her butterfly wings moving at an almost imperceptable speed. She really loved flying, so as she fluttered to a rest outside of the large cave opening, at first she wanted to pout. But then she remembered why she had come; an adventure!

Darcia's ears flicked as he heard the laughter outside the cave and he moved toward the branching entrance, dodgeing the broken stalactite as he moved. The laughter told him all he needed to know about who was out there and where abouts they were. Mey wasn't too far from him, but she was standing at the wrong cave, and if she went in she would be lost. He would have to rescue her before she got herself hurt. "Stay where you are Meyial" He called out hastilly running as fast as he could before finding the narrow gap just west of where the butterfly winged female was standing. "Over here, fast, before someone sees you!"

Meyial started at the almost instantaneous appearance of Darcia; if she hadn't recognized his voice, she probably would have turned and fled immeadiatly. But although the semi-gloom of dusk shrouded his features, she was more than able to recognize his voice. Without asking why she shouldn't let anyone see her, she ducked into the cave after him; she could always ask why a little later.

With a soft sigh of disgust, Kiba prowled along the gentle slopes of the mountain foothills. Day after day, it was always the same; nothing worth seeing, no one worth getting involved in...but then, the nikkos at that lodge place were a strange lot. He'd felt so out of place that it was no wonder he'd lit out for the hills as soon as he could, but now that he was here...he had to wonder why.

Darcia moved from the cave and gestured carefully for Mey to proceed him toward the fallen stalactite. "Careful, they seem to fall for no real reason around here. I think it is the new vibrations. What I have found in here seems to have been still for a long time." He nodded and looked at a quavering rock above and pushing lightly against a wall. "Keep to the sides." He gestured with his head to the stalactite knowing that it too would fall soon. "The next chamber is an echochamber, so I suggest keeping our voices low." He took a deep breath, some of the glowing spores in the air entering his lungs.

Meyial nodded silently; she decided that the best course of action was to simply say nothing, not until it was safe to actually talk. She wanted an adventure, not a cave in; and Darcia seemed to know what he was doing. She didn't know why she trusted him so much, but he just seemed to have an...aura about him; he wasn't trying to pull anything.

Kiba glanced up at the dark sky as he reached the crest of a hill; the stars were twinkling in a lively fashion, and the moon was a perfect sphere, glowing in the darkness like a huge dinnerplate. But though it was a lovely sight, he was still not too thrilled. He turned silently to look over the hilltop; not too far away, he could see the immense bulk of Laika mountain's foot. Maybe that would provide some interest...

Darcia moved slowly through the chamber, pointing up at the roof where a series of bat looking Nikko were hanging. He hadn't seen them before but now that he was crossing through he could tell what they were. He blinked a few times and looked up, watching one of the bat nikko wake and whispering while leaning up rising to his hind legs. "I.. never saw them before. Are they new?" He then got down on his paws and led to the next room.

Meyial blinked up at the bat-nikkos and made a wry face; there was something eerie about seeing all those twinkling eyes. "I don't know.." She whispered as well, then shook her head; best not to think about them too much. That thought in mind, she quared her shoulders and followed after Darcia, eager to put the bat-nikkos behind them.

Now that he'd gotten the idea, it seemd the best course of action. Kiba turned and started towards the mountain at a lope. Maybe there's be something worthwhile there...

In the next chamber Darcia stopped Meyial and looked at her. "What you will see in the next room is going to shock you. I know because it shocked me too. It is imporant to know that none of them are dead." He closed his eyes thinking of all the sleeping Nikko ahead and he looked at his friend. "If you want to go back we can, you don't have to see what I have been working on." The thought of makeing her upset was a bit much and he rose to his rear paws placeing his front feet on her arms. "Are you up to it?"

"Not...dead?" Meyial stopped walking and looked first ahead, then down at Darcia with slight apprehension. What the heck was in there that needed that warning attached? But she had come here for an adventure...so she obviously wasn't going to turn back. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind, Darcia; and I appreciate the advance warning, whatever's in there." She patted one of his paws with her hand, then glanced ahead again. "But I'd like to go on..."

Darcia moved toward the entrance to the next chamber, the one that had all the nikko's around in it. He had been cleaning some of them, tending to wounds that they had gotten while they slept. Dusting those that had been in the chamber a long time. He had also been doing something else. Some of the Nikko had been attached to funny things. Boxes with buttons and such on them. Someone had been experimenting on them, and he wanted to know why and to what ends. "Here we are.. and here they are. Those that I have been careing for."
