At Felicia's Pet Shop, you can find ANY kind of pet, if we don't have it, you can place a special order for one,
*note, the animal cannot be any bigger than the store, no dragon's, elephants,or giraffes

Felicia walked over to the door, and turned over the sign saying 'closed' to 'open' and went to check on her animals
Carmen, who had been walking around spotted the new pet shop and walked in beaming
"Hi! I'm Felicia, is there any way I can help you?"
"Oh um, hello, I just wanted to see the animals and check the place out" Carmen said shyly

ok, that's fine too, I'm just glad I got this plce open!" FElicia said beaming
um, do you have horses?
they're one of my favorites! I built some stalls in the back
CArmen, feeling herself changing from her shy side to her more social side"Horses are my favorite too"
FElicia's smile widened."come with me, I'll introduce you"
Carmen followed the outgoing shop keeper to the back door, noting all the animals around her
This is Polly, he's a stallion"Felicia said pointing to a beautiful polimino.
Carmen grinned. "I have a polimino stallion too, his name is sunshine"
Wow, do you ride well?
"yes"carmen replied, deciding not to mention her ride on mystic.
"and this is Moonlight" she said indicating a beautiful white mare"Is she a tru white or light grey?"Carmen asked feebly.
the smile on felicia's face turned to a frown. "I'm not sure, she has blue eyes but she's too tempermental to handle, I saved her from the slaughter house, hoping to ofind her someone who could handle her.

Carmen's stomach lurched, her smile disappeared."How much are you offering for her?"
FElicia looked at Carmen in amazement."seriosly?"((sp?))
Carmen met her gaze and said confedently(sp?)"seriosly"
"Well, I bought her from a muggle for $100, they probably would have given her to me free if they weren't so greedy,I'm not sure how many galleons she's worth. but she would be worth a fortune if she wasn't so tempermental, she looks like a good jumper"
Carmen stopped to think for a moment I have a hundred muggle dollars at home, but, it's at home, maby I could get mum to send it? I wonder if...but her thoughts were cut short by felicia
"I'll tell you what, you can have her free if you can break her without hurting her."
Carmen's face let up"really?!"
Felicia looked at her seriosly. "IF you can break her, groom her, and put a saddle and bridle on her."

Carmen's mind was racing, she had broken Sunshine by herself, would she be able to break Moonlight though? she didn't know her very well, and it was easier to break horses when they were young, and Sunshine was very young when she broke him, but then again it was also said stallions were hard to break.

Felicia opened the back door and walked over to the front counter.
Carmen walked over to Moonlight, who shied away instantly."it's ok Moonlight, I won't hurt you." Carmen said soothingly

Moonlight looked up, who was this strange girl? why was she able to understand what she was saying?
"I'm here to help you girl." Carmen said walking closer to the stall slowly
Moonlight, understanding this human meant no harm, walked cautiosly to the door, one ear pointing forward, the otherwan pointing back.
Carmen caught the mare's gaze to hers, and tried to communicate.
"Moonlight, why are you scared of humans?" she said calmly.
Moonlight couldn't move her gaze from the strange human's gaze, she could understand her, could the human understandher
Carmen tried again, "Moonlight, what has made you so scared of humans?"
Moonlight shifted.
A man mistreaded me, he whipped me, it was painful, then he tied me in my stall so I couln't move, and somtimes forgot to feed me. I tried to get away, but he whipped me more, I kicked and bucked, one day another man came with a rope, and put me in a moving metal box, it was scary.
Carmen gasped. "and Felicia saved you?"
the box kept moving for a long time, but it stopped after a while, anothe human led me out, I tried to get away. another human came to the human holding me, and they were talking,

"then what?" Carmen asked
she handed the man somthing and a few more humans came out to control me, and put me in another moving box, along with a few others, except this box didn't have a thing over my head, so it wasn't as scary, then I was brought here, and the human gave me food and water.
"so why are you still scared of humans?"
I figured after a while I decided she would mistreat me too so...
Carmen broke her gaze from the horse, breaking her communication,
"not all humans are the same" Carmen said opening the stall door.

Moolight stood still while carmen put a halter on her and clipped a lead rope on. "I'll bet you need exersize" Carmen said leading Moonlight out of the stall. "wait here girl" CArmen ran over to the door "FElicia is it ok if I give Moonlight some exersize?"
"WHAT?!!!?" Felicia ran out to carmen with a surprized look on her face.
Carmen walked over to Moonlight and held her lead rope.
Felicia stood in the doorway with a surprized look on her face and stared at Carmen. "You wouln't happen to be a horse whisperer would you?" she said in amzement.
"a what?" carmen said absent mindely stroking Moonlight
"A horse whisperer, they can lllike, hypnotise horses by making a weir trilling noise or somthing.."
"Well, I guess I'm some sort of horse whisperer, but, I can like, talk to animals in a way, they understand what I say, but when I look them in the eye they like, can't move their eyes, and they somehow talk to me like that, It's hard to explain..."

Felicia sat on a bale of hay amazed. "I've heard of hypnotizing horses by looking them in the eye in a certain way, but talking to them, and other animals? that's just...wow...."
Carmen decided she coould trust Felicia with Mystic. "I-I befriended a unicorn Last year and, I rode her a few days ago...."
Felicia looked at Carmen amazed. "That's unbelivable"
Carmen looked down at her robes, they still had some of mystic's hair on it. Carmen plucked off a particularly long hair that came from Mystic's mane and held it up to her. "test it if you don't belive me"
Felicia pulled out her wand and muttered a spell to try burning the hair. a small flame came out of the tip of her wand, it hit the unicorn hair and went all the way up the length of the hair and went out. the hair wasn't harmed at all.

Felicia stood looking at the hair in amazement. "you didn't take Moonlight's hair and spell that by any chance did you?"
"I know of fire proof spells but none with that effect." she replied sheepishly.
Felicia looked over at Moonlight then back at carmen. "Well a deal's a deal, if you can groom, saddle, and ride her she's yours"
Carmen smiled with delight. "really?!"
"I doubt I could find her a better home" Felicia said stepping twards Moonlight to pet her.
Moonlight put her ears back and shied away nervously
Carmen walked over to Moonlight and looked her straight in the eye, locking her vision. "It's ok Moonlight, she saved you remember?" Carmen said soothingly
Moonlight shifted slightly, her head not moving at all.
Carmen broke her gaze and watched as Moonlight walked over to Felicia.
"Amazing! How did you do that?!"
"I'm not sure how I do it, I look her in the eye and talk, I don't have to always look them in the eye but they could ignore me if I don't
"Weird"
"So do you have grooming supplies for her?"
" Yes. I'll go get them" Felicia replied, not taking notice the subject had changed, and walked tward a wooden chest and took out a grooming kit. "here you go, call me if you need anything."
"Will do." Carmen replied picking out the curry comb and began brushing Moonlight in circular patterns.
"I trustyou know which order recommended to use them in and how?"
"yes, currycomb, stiffbrush, soft brush, then maintail comb, and hoofpick"
Felicia beamed at Carmen "I'm glad to have an experianced person here"

Carmen finished with the currycomb and got out a worn stiff brush and began to brush of dirt hand hair, and getting any hair she missed with the curry-comb. then remembering somthing carmen parted a small patch of hair on Moonlights back and saw it was pink, which ment she was a true white horse.
"Felicia!" Carmen shouted
Felicia poked her head out the door "ya?"
"Moonlight has pink skin! do you know how rare it is to find a true whiite horse?"
Felicia smiled broadly "wow. I never thought I'd ever actually see a white horse, I had one once, but his skin was greyish and his eyes were brown, so he wasn't really white...."
"My mom had one too, but she had flecks of grey... the horse not my mom...."
Felicia laughed and walked twards the counter

((I sure wish someone else would post....))
Carmen finished with the stiff brush and got out the soft brush to sweep away the hair and dirt she had gotten up with the curry comb and stiff brush.
Moonlight shifted, probably bored, and turned her head to n** at Carmen's elbow
Carmen noted the shift and felt a small pain in her elbow and she looked up to see Moonlight quickly move back into the position she was in a minute
Moonlight, thinking Carmen hadn't seen her move, felt a bit less bored, and waited a few minutes, and quickly nipped Carmen again
Carmen, relizing this was some kind of game Moonlight was doing to keep herself entertained, got out the mane comb and began combing out the tangles, also preparing herself for Moonlight's game.Moonlight moved to n** carmen again, but Carmen uickly took a step to the side and gently slapped her on the nose. "NO" Carmen said firmly
Felicia peeked her head out. "No what?"
Carmen looked over at Felicia. "oh nothing, Moonlight was bored and she tried nipping me"
Felicia overreacting slightly looke shocked. "Are you ok? are you bleeding? she didn't bruise you or anything did she?"
"What? no....no... moonlight was just bored, you wouldn't have any horse toys or somthing to keep her entertained would you?"
"as a matter of fact I do" Felicia said walking tward a small shelf and picked out a rubber ball, about the size of a kick ball, with a small handle on it."Here you go" she said tossing the ball over to Moonlight
"Thanks" Carmen said as she go out the hoof pick and went over to Moonlight's closest hoof.
