This is where you nominate your game of the month. These nominations will be taken to the main forum and listed for the users to vote on. The wining game will get the title "Game of the Month for (month)" and get a special section on the guild homepage.

Some rules to nominations:
1. You may nominate up to 3 games at a time.
2. The top 4/5 nominies will be the candidates for "Game of the Month"
3. A short description of why you nominated said games would be welcome, but keep it short and simple.
4. Nominations will end on the last week of the month, and then voting will begin.
5. Nominations must be from the current-gen consoles, meaning Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Gamecube, and X-box.

Question: Does the game have to be from the same month? Or does it have to be from the previous month? Or anytime in the past year? Anytime in the past decade?

It depends on how old-school you want to get, or if you want to keep up with the latest great games.

Keep it this gen. Meaning DC, PS2, GC, and X-box.

DC /is/ this gen, despite what some think, and it had many great games. Too bad Sega didn't care much about it. >:

It's not that sega didn't care much about it, it's the part that it was designed for the avid gamer and not those who don't play as much. There weren't many games for it that were just pick up and play a lot of them were really hard compared to the much easier games that were out at the time. You had a choice between Spyro and Jet Grind Radio the casual gamer would choose Spryo simply because Jet Grind Radio made him feel bad about losing so many friggin' times. That is what caused the downfall of the Dreamcast. I still miss those late nights in summer playing Phantasy Star though, that's why I can't wait to play a bit of the new one that is going to come out. ^_^

Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Gamecube, or X-Box, eh? In that case I'll nominate Metroid Prime Hunters for the Nintendo DS. I feel it is Nintendo's first true leap into creating a game around internet gaming. (The non-selling Phantasy Star Online series for the GC doesn't count.) Metroid Prime Hunters truly FOCUSED on its Wi-Fi connection. Nintendowifi.com is filled with various stats about your abilities. Also, MPH proved that the DS can accomplish more than N64-style graphics.

I'll also nominate Kingdom Hearts for the PS2. The release of Kingdom Hearts II has made many of us realize what was so great about the original. It accomplished a goal (the combination of Final Fantasy and Disney) that many was sure would fail and instead flourished into one of the most successful games ever. Everything about the game surprised us, from the great graphics to the incredible storyline you could spend months delving into. Symbolism filled this game. Simple and Clean stuck in our minds. It truly was a new and great venture in gaming.

I nominate Metroid: Prime Hunters as well. Kingdom Hearts I kinda disagree on. It just wasn't as good as Metroid and I am going to stick to one nomination and vote per month.

I have no more nominees unless you wish for me to do more reviews, but seeing as I am taking the most interest into this I have decided to stick with just three for now until some other people get caught up.

Uh, I nominate God Of War!

This is a PS2 only title from Sony that delivers great platforming, non-stop, fluid action and combos. And even makes you think a little. This game is jst plain fun. It won many awards at E3, and continues to amaze people.

I dont think we have enough monthly visitors at the moment for a game of the month haha

Will this be best overall game or best game in several catagories? (RPG, RTS, FPS, MMORPG, ...) As most of these cannot be easily compared as they are very different games with extremely different gameplay.

And on the actual voting thread...can we put links to descriptions of the games on the poll as well as videos and such? So that everyone can at least take into consideration each game and not just blindly vote for the one game they have played or the one they nominated.
