What do you guys think of this Thrash band? I love them I highly admire Dave Mustaine, his work with the band is just amazing, and also I admire his education the man is very smart.  "Megadeth" is an American speed/heavy/Thrash metal band led by Dave Mustaine. The group was formed in 1983, disbanded in 2002, and reformed in 2004. Megadeth is often mentioned as one of the "big four" of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer. On March 21, 2006, a 2 disc DVD titled "The Arsenal Of Megadeth" was issued by EMI/Capitol Records

I don't know most of their songs but I know I really like their song 'Trust'. I love the base and beat in it.

A Tout La Monde is definitely good. And Risk isn't such a bad album, it's just more suited for Mr. Big than Megadeth, being the legendary shredders that they are. sweatdrop

Chriz_2.0 I like their songs symphony of destruction and sweating bullets better personaly. you aint heard nothing yet, get Countdown To Extinction they have some of their best on that album, in my opinion.

Yea I got that album lol. Yea they do have most of my fav songs by megadeth on that album so I too would say that it is one of their best albums, but I also do really like their rust in peace album as well.

As a guitarist, Mustaine is very influential for me. Thrash happens to be my genre of choice.

Well, I'll be honest. The only songs I've heard are the ones on Guitar Hero, "Symphony of Destruction" and "Hangar 18." I really like the latter. But anyways, of those two songs, I really do like Megadeth. smile
|

Megadeth is one of my biggest influences in songwriting. Surprised it wasn't mentioned, but Mustaine was a founding member of MEtallica. They booted him out for being a violent drunk and abusive (in a nutshell), and replaced him with Kirk Hammet.
The radio hits mentioned are all OK, but they do get boring after so many plays. My favorite album they ever did HAS to be The World Needs A Hero. It's choice. Their newest album is United Abominations, and it is choice too.
Their newest single, Headcrusher, is seeing a return to their thrash roots, sounding almost like a digitally remastered song from their Peace Sells album that was never released.
