Did you go to websites? did someone teach you?
got a technique you want to share with others? this is the place for it.
also if you know any good drawing tutorial/tip sites pleese don't hesitate to post them, currently Im trying to better myself at the female form because I find it difficult to draw both hands and feet without them looking wonky. razz

I don't really draw that well.. but I drew even worse then I do now before my friend helped me... Just silly things like drawing the outline of the body frist and drawing light lines frist then darker after. Nothing to special.

I was put in an art camp since I was 4. I was on tv and in the news papers a bunch cause of it. I didn't really put much effort into my drawings until I got to high school. I learned the basics from a book (ok, it didn't really help), a class I took out side of school (again, I was mainly there to chat with the teacher.... he's cool -.-) and a small bit of my shadeing technique from school.
I normally start with the head first, because once you have the head, you can mesure out how big the body should be. Normal, or elegant adults are normally around 7-71/2 head lenghts. The sholder width is normally 2-3 heads. Younger children can range from 4-6 head lenghts, normally.
For drawing back grounds, setting a horrizon point is a great way to start out. If you know that, it makes it easyer to set a foreground, mid ground (i believe thats what it's called), and a back ground.

I'm mainly working on details, like the hair mainly. I can draw good outlines, though.

I chose to take Art in Junior High because Drama and 20th century music just didn't appeal to me. Took it in grade ten, too, because by that time I was interested and starting to improve. Couldn't take it this year (schedule didn't work out), and taking it by correspondance just didn't work for me.
I still have a bit of trouble, mostly when drawing without an image to look at and draw from, and still screw up on hands/feet/legs/arms, etc... I try and follow the eyes/hair shown, but make my own small changes sometimes.

My older sister taught me what I know. I grew up envying her, and what she does. So I would copy everything she does, even her artwork. But, she's gotten to good for me now, so I've stuck with Manga drawing.

hm...I think I learned to draw by copying pictures I've seen and liked and slowly perfecting them. And I also steel techniques from others! twisted I'm terrible at drawinf hands and arms (length problems) but I'm getting better, better........ stare I only started drawing manga because it's easy and they look so pretty! 4laugh But I also like doing abstract drawings and flowers. And who can forget stick peoples! whee We all got to start somewhere.

Hmmm... well...
I used to copy pictures, and I slowly got out of doing that by copying them less and less as I got slightly older (I've only been able to draw for the last 3 years >.<)
I'm 14 now, and I think I'm doing okay for my age, I learnt from trying and trying and trying. And taking hours on one drawing. I'm taking art for my GCSE's... and Graphics....
