......... A little magic is not enough. Your party stats rely on a healthy amount of magic. Battle to gather powerful magics. Don't even use the magic you get. If you want to use some magic use the draw/cast on him. (cast dispel on him when he uses double/triple) Just train for some good magic and junction to increase the power of your GF's, Strength, and HP. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, I believe it was wind magic that he uses. Gather wind(or whatever he uses) magic and equip it to your elemental defense.

You need to gather more GF's when traveling through the game.

He is quite powerful but has not many HP points, the faster you defeat him the better. The best way to do it is to use Demi and Diablos. Draw and cast Dispeal on him whenever he casts Triple. Do not use Pandemona nor Quezacotl since their attacks will be absorbed as far as I remember.

Just remember when fighting him to draw as much Double and Triple magic as you can. That stuff pwns. >_>;;;

If you can beat him backtrack and draw some magic from the enemies of that area. Water is good for your attack so get 100 of it for each character. In the ice skating rink you can find enemies with that magic. Also you could spam limit breaks by entering the battle with squall or zell in critical and have rinoa cast life when they die.

Try and draw some more magic, or train your characters a bit(character training makes him stronger too). If you have to use Squall's physical attacks for any reason, have a junction that isn't lightning, and use the trigger every time you attack. I can't really relate to the situation(beat cerberus easy) but i'll try to help as best i can.

GF ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Use Aura and barrage him with limit breaks, i was about lv 20 (ALL my characters, i keep them low until the end of the game where i train up like hell).
It was fairly easy
Watch out for the triples....and magic.

I'm glad you posted this Cerebus thing...I can't get past him either. He is sooo freakin' annoying! And he ALWAYS kills my Irvine first! *slams the playstation on the wall*

You won't appreciate my answer, but in that part of game I always train up for some hours until Diablos reach 25 - 30 level at least ( I don't remember well though, if you're already at a similar level maybe I was training till 50. Anyway I'm sure that I always spent a lot of hours training ). Is really annoying but if you do so Cerberus will go down in a three-four hits ( and you won't have time to do much more, if it's strong as I remember ), but mostly I found this strategy useful in next fight against Edea, it was quite hard ( don't forget Alexander, btw wink ).

Here is my best strategy

1. With Siren: make sure she has learned the Life Magic Ability where you can make LifeRecovery Magic from objects. Best is to get as many Curas, Curagas as possible. However what you want are Regen's. Regen's are a very helpful form of magic and you will need it when you are fighting Rinoa and Adel later in Disk 3.

2. Casting Regen to all party members will boost their life automatically. It helps especially when you need to fight more than recover. Still you should recover every so often. Also don't forget to cast Protect and Shell. DO NOT CAST REFLECT! Best to cast reflect if you are stocked with Dispels and your boss or monster attacks with magic more than physical attacks.

3. Draw Doubles and Triples. Have at least one member (or two to be safe) that can be the healing party. They also help with magic as well.

4. Abilities. Here is how I fought when I defeated Cerberus.
Squall (Lvl 55)
Attack
Magic
GF (Quezecotl, Diablos, Pandemonian)
Item

Rinoa (Lvl 25)
Attack
Magic (Shiva, Siren, Carbuncle)
GF
Draw

Zell (Lvl 35)
Attack
Magic
GF (Ifrit, Brothers, Tonberry King, Alexander)
Draw

5. Rely on GFs at times to do major magic attacks. When you hold select you can boost the GFs power to a stronger attack. utilize that well and you will defeat him. Also if you don't have the walkthrough where you have the Boss's status, you will have to cast Scan on Cerberus to find the weaknesses and strengths.

there is no magic that is especially useful on Cerberus as he has no weaknesses, but DO NOT USE THUNDER OR WIND MAGIC, he will absorb it, draw as much triple and double magic as possible as the only other place that triple is readily available is when you fight Odin, and you are time restricted in that fight. Junction strong magic to your stats to help your chances, dispel his triple magic as soon as he casts it or you'll be in hot water, use limits where practical but heal whenever necessary and you should be fine.
