((Brown = Comet

Comet was wandering around. It was early enough for him to still be a little tired, yet late enough for the sun to already be high in the sky above. For a while, it was tree after tree, just passing by slowly. Soon, he felt his hooves sink into sand. He'd made his way to the beach somehow. It was a nice day to be there, at least. And he had to think about a lot of things. Without his consent, his feet slowly trudged forward, pushing hard against the sand. He kept a slow pace until he saw red hair that he recognized. He stayed at the same pace, but headed in the direction of his room mate.

Gaara was sitting on the beach. It seemed really peaceful, but there was something odd about it. Something just didn't feel right. He was giving off a strange aura, though most people wouldn't be able to see it. Apparently Comet couldn't. He could see him coming, even without looking. The ocean was slowly pulling the sand back and forth. Dragging it out to see, and pushing it onto the beach. It was far from his feet -low tide. Still looking at the water, he spoke in a voice as coarse as the sand sitting around him.

"Go home, Comet."

"Not until you tell me what's been going on. You've been disappearing more often than usual lately. What's with you?"

"I said go home."

He turned to face the deer, revealing his left eye. It was completely black, except for a small green pupil. It was the eye of a demon.

He moved one leg back. Had Gaara's eyes always been like that? He hadn't seen him in a while... No. That wasn't it. Something was wrong. He tried to keep the indifferent look on his face, but it was incredibly hard. Especially when you had someone staring straight at you with an eye that apparently wasn't their own. He moved his hoof forward once more, trying to hold his ground. He repeated himself. Not that it would really help.

"Not until you tell me."

Gaara slowly stood up. His feet made large indentantions in the sand. But as if healing itself, the small, displaced grains covered themselves once he moved. An evil smile crept its way onto his face. He had no control anymore. The sand curled around him quickly. It was floating on the air, slowly wrapping around him. For a few moments, it seemed as if it wouldn't move. Then, suddenly, the sand formed together in the form of Shuriken [Ninja stars], and launched themselves at Comet.

Luckily for him, he was fast on his feet. Though it was very hard, he managed to dodge them. The last one skimmed his left arm. It didn't feel very bad, so he decided not to look at it. That might make it hurt a lot more than needed. He was starting to think it would have been better if he'd just left in the first place.

Another onslaught of sand shuriken was about to go. Though they were more to scare Comet off then to wound him. If he wanted to kill his room mate, he'd be dead by now. The weapons shot once more, twisting through the air at an insanely fast speed.

A burst of fire shot between the two. It managed to blast the sand away from its intended target. Embria had just left the museum. She hadn't even had time to think about what Star had said. It'd just been lying on her mind. She hadn't registered it completely. Star had needed help, but she'd just left too quickly for Embria to react. Everything wasn't making sense anymore. She'd tried to explain it, but it looked like there was something she didn't know. Whatever the case, she decided to pass by the beach and try to clear her mind a little. Just by coming here, she was interfering again, just as she had with Kyoko and Star. But she couldn't help it. Even if other people didn't want her help, she would try anyway.

"Sorry if I interrupted something..."

He shot a menacing glare at the girl. Though staring at someone wouldn't do much, it made them uncomfortable and told them they'd done something they shouldn't have. He readied another attack. If those two didn't leave soon, he might have to actually hurt them. Which he should have done in the first place.

This one wasn't going to be strong. If it killed them, then that wasn't his fault. He'd told Comet to leave. That was enough warning. The sand formed in front of him, creating a large wave. It was like the waves lapping against the beach, though this was definatly more deadly. There was no current, but it would push and drown them faster than the true water.
