Alright does anyone here have a pet? if so what kind of animal is it? do you have a picture? are you and your pet really close? I think its importaint for children to have pets to teach them responcibility and make them better parents as they get older, also pets offer you unconditional love. I have had many werid pets since my step mom is a vet, and i just want to tell you about a few pets that you SHOULDN'T have, you might disagree, but its probally wise to stay away from the following: Turtles: (the big ones): they are really high maintenance, you have to have a huge tank for them, and have to change the water almost daily or they smell really bad. Igunanna's: I dont know if all igunana's are like this, butthe one I had was sooo lazy all it did was lie on its rock or its stick and when anyone went near hit it would hit you with its tail and it hurt ALOT. also its cage took up almost our invite wall in the basement and It had to be specially made, they also eat bugs which is really gross. and heres one you wouldn't expect: Ferrets: Ok before people go awww ferrets are soo cute and so forth let me make myself clear, yes they are cute but there is a reason they are banned in many countrys. They are a WILD animal! we used to let our ferret roam as you would a dog, it was an inside let but it loved socks, if you were sleeping and a moving white sock was visible... you better beleive you would wake up in pain with a bloody foot. those ferret teeth hurt. Also, I don't know if you have ever been hunting but wild animals have a different smell then domesticated animals, think about that stinky odour masker you have to wear when you hunt.. thats what the ferret and his cage smells like, and cleaning it doesn't help, it always has that musky smell. Well I hope that helped, share your pet stories here, also what animals do you think make bad pets? which are the best?

Awww, you had a turtle and an Iguanna too? They are cute, but they both stink a lot. And you are right turtles do stink up your space a lot. Eeuuchk. But iguanna's are cute, ( if they don't bite you D';> ) but they get too long. ( I had to make a closet for it's cage ;D ) And, you know what else makes good pets? . . . Not those cats, but budgies! ( Pictures ) arrow http://www.budgies.org/images/boo.jpg arrow http://www.ozbird.com/oz/BirdsGallery/images/budgies.jpg arrow http://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/88263626_d61af2b97d.jpgThe only thing is, if you want the budgies to be friendly, you know, sing songs, jump on your shoulder, be your best bud, you have to get them hand fed as a baby. If you don't do that, they become always terrified of you, won't come out of the cage, bite . . a lot. Well, I guess that won't happen ALL the time, but you know what I mean. I have .. very . . terrible experience. xD Not really. I had one which was hand fed, and the other . . . not. Guess which one Iiked better? <33 Aww, I just have to show you these pictures, they are such cute pets! <333 ( From the website cute overload. ) Birds - http://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/parkscilubbocktxus_heather_hoel_1.jpghttp://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/060217_kiwi.jpg ( What is that thing?!! ) http://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/donnakirdahy_3.jpgBUNNIES <33 http://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/750971_1.jpghttp://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/mike_4.jpghttp://mfrost.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/puffbun.jpg ( AHH! I haven't had a pet for over five years now... Since my dog died... I still have times where I miss her so much it makes me nearly want to cry... Though I miss her most when I feel like crying or like I'm going to. She was a nice dog... Friendly and cuddly, but not too much. I wish I could have met her puppies, but they were born and sold before I was born... And they were in Ontario... My family moved to Alberta just before I was born... All I have for a picture of her on the computer is this drawing of her I did a couple/few years ago. We also had another dog for a short while, a dashound, named Jasmine... I don't remember her too well anymore... We didn't have her for long... She was still just a 'puppy' and in that chewing stage. Still miss her, though. We had a cat, but didn't keep it... My mum's allergic, so we couldn't keep her... But, when we got her, we named her Ginger (due to her colouring). Then we gave her to my uncle, who renamed her Putty (he didn't know she had a name). She had kittens while she was living with him, but when he moved, she moved in with my grandparents, where she lived the rest of her life. There I saw her a decent bit, at least. Not the nicest cat, but still really beautiful. At my grandparents' she was known most often as "The Cat" or "Kitty". And, we apparently had another dog when we (my sibling and I) were young, but she didn't like me. I honestly don't remember a thing about her. Closest I get to having a pet now is my uncle's dog, Jacobi. She's a pain a lot of the time, but when she's mellowed out and just wants to sleep or be pet, she's nice. Horrible to walk, but nice when she wants to be. Oh, and she's camera shy, so my pictures of her kind of suck. A couple pictures from Easter Weekend: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v428/Akiono/DSC01014.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v428/Akiono/DSC01022.jpg

I have a dog named after a wolf from Wolf's Rain, Kiba. He's a miniture border collie. Only thing about him is that he loves to bite things. Including you hand, but other than that he's really cute! ^^
And I don't suggest you keep a goat for a pet either unless if you live in a farm. Why? Well...
1) You'll find some of your things that's been lieing around missing. 2) Tries to head butt you all the time when it grows horns 3) all the noises it makes can make you insane 4) they poo all over the place!
I had one for a pet for a bit, we had to get rid of him cause it was driving everyone nuts! xp

Lol, I've got an entire herd. We have a dog, a cat, a kitten, and two parakeets. That's not even counting all the virtual pet's I take care of. The kitten was the latest and final addition. I told my roomie she could have it, but that was the last one so she'd better be sure.
