... xp OH SNAP! Oh my GOD! This is going to be awesome! Oh, and you might want to check out: http://www.smashbros.com/Better add Meta Knight (From Kirby) to the lineup of new characters. mrgreen Personally? I'm extremely excited about the third party characters!

Wow, snake. Now even hardcore PS3 guys have to check this out, because it'll be extremely badass to see him in the game.

also, since this is a 2007 release, there is a chance that they will put even more 3rd party characters in the game.

I'm hoping Sonic is in the game, and every rumour seems to point at that, but I dunno, I'm curious to see if they'd add more characters after this or if they're making some... unlockable? Ahh, there's the answer. There's gonna be loads of unlockables, I'm willing to bet!

Had I known my opinion was going to be opposed, I'd've gladly provided one. Well the whole Sonic thing has been going on ever since Sega went bankrupt. It'd be really cool to have some severe speed in the speed (way better than Captain Falcon or Fox or whatever) and some really nice moves, but at the same time, have him suspect to certain moves by opponents that can really knock him around to even things out. It'd be fun and fair, so hey, why not? It'd appease all the people that liked the Sonic games and so forth. Don't be too sad Disco, if they put in Sonic they might put someone in from SoA. : wink

I'm writing a review on SSBB for Al. When asked if other 3rd party characters such as Sonic will be making an appearance in the game, Nintendo said that they were going to hold a huge meeting over it and that these characters had a considerable chance.
I for one am a little unsure about Snake. Everyone's like "omfg snake!" but still...idk...
The majority of metal gear solid games are on playstation...regardless to the fact that it started on nes/computer or whatever
I'm not acting out to know everything here because I don't. I'm just saying that though I am excited, at the same time I'm dissapointed. One of the nice things about SSB was that it was all nintendo characters fighting in a nintendo game playable only on a nintendo console. Sure possibilities open up now...final fantasy....the ever so anticpated Sonic and Tails....its just that I'm hoping that this won't turn into some game designed to fit any and every videogame character under the sun. Perhaps I'd much rather see a Soul Caliber 2 approach to this, where Link guest stars. Hopefully we'll only have 1 or 2.
So yeah, mixed feelings...

I know he made appearances on the GC, just not as much. As for Konami or maybe you meant Kojima or idk, whoever IGN Sakurai said the decision to include Solid Snake when Hideo Kojima himself practically "begged" to include the Metal Gear character in the last Smash Bros. game. When asked about the possibility of Sonic the Hedgehod appearing in the game as well, Shigeru Miyamoto said: "There are probably possibilities for other third parties as well, and it maybe that even know there are corporate discussions going on about including some of these other characters." *Note the mispelling of "Hedgehog"....silly IGN!
