Okay. I'm sure Aphy has ranted about this a few times to me. I'm also pretty sure it went in one ear and out the other, so. Wtf is Blue Burst?

It was released in Japan a while ago
PSO Blue Burst is basically PSO, thrown into a PC universe, with the usual stuff, plus a new area I think and quite a number of new items, monsters and weapons
They also have a new team feature and other new items that I can't remember =D

Blue Burst has, like he said, the new items, area(s), team features, blah, blah, and as you should also know the Episode IV storyline quests, along with a handy dandy macro hotkey bar a la WoW and of course the team(guild/linkshell) thing like he mentioned.
Also, Sega's been adding a steady stream of new content since its original release, so there's no telling what will be there in the long haul.

I'm downloading PSOBB when it comes out, I hope that there's gonna be a free open beta test, that way I can play my BB for a while w/o pissing off my brother who refuses to let me cancel our GCN Hunter's License. stressed I know he's gonna want to leave the GCN version when he sees BB...at least I hope so. xp

For someone who have never played PSO, what is it like compared to other mmorpgs?

Compared to others... There's a lot less freedom involved. Like, there's only 4 areas you can go to that have things to kill, and only one main town thingy. They released Episode 2, which contains another main town thingy and some more levels to kill things in. And though it is limited, it's still fun. Teamwork doesn't play a huge role unless you're doing Challenge mode, so you're not forced to rely on others or anything. Oh, and anyone can switch between any servers at any given time, which is definitely a plus. The servers are called ships, and you just hop from ship to ship. One other cool thing about PSO: finding rare stuff is relatively easy. Generally only one type of mob drops it, and you just have to kill them repeatedly and hope for the best. Lol one more thing... money doesn't matter in the least. There's no AH or anything, all the items you get are what you or other people find and you trade around.
