When Nikko are young they have a lot to learn, and that is no exception when it comes to some that think they know it all. So it was when two young demon nikko started to wander the world for the first time. They moved past the nikko lodge and faced the great big world, just the two of them.
Daemona was a young red furred demon with bright eyes and a coy look to her. She had a caustic attitude and believed that her views were the only ones that had any bearing in the world. Closed minded and stubborn she could make an angel swear.
Daemon was black with red markings, the mirror of his twin sister, and no less stubborn. He liked playing pranks and makeing his twin mad. Together they were too much for anyone to handle. They had been raised as well as a demon and an angle could. Hateing their surrogate father and protecting their surrogate mother from him as well as they were able.
Life was strange to say the least. Now they were toddlers, and soon they would be kids, it was their time to learn.

Daemona looked around the grass and tried to find a place to hide from her brother. They had decided that today they were going to go adventureing, but they wanted to find someone to come with them. She wanted to have first pick on their companion, but so too did he, so she decided that perhaps if she hide and he went looking for her, she would be able to pounce someone first and start their journey into the mountains.
Daemon sighed watching the small female dart behind a tree. She was so predictable, and because of that he decided that he would just watch her, when she found someone he would cut her off and speak to them first. He shook his head and watched, his eyes darting around seeking movement.

((Just because I think that she'd be amusing with them...*grins*))
Like a black gargoyle, Esca sat unmoving on a large rock near the edge of the forest. He wings were folded tightly against her back, and her glittering eyes were narrowed slightly as she watched the two tots. Tots...how she mistrusted those little blaguards. stare

Daemona yawned. Nothing, no one.. blah, they would soon have to go on their own if they wanted to sneak away when their mother wouldn't see them. Daemona broke from her cover and looked at her twin. "Come on then, lets get moving. No one is coming out of the lodge and even if they did they would only get in our way." Strange how she sang a new tune when she didn't get her way. First she insisted that someone had to come, and now she didn't want anyone.
Daemon rolled his eyes and he moved toward his sister, his sleek wings folded along his back, sparkles catching the light as he moved. "Whatever.." He grunted the word and looked around. Neither had noticed the black rose nikko, neither were really looking as they padded toward the woods. It was going to be a long walk through it.

Esca raised her brow as she observed the tots start toward her. The idea that they were going into the woods didn't really occur to her; tots just didn't go into the woods, so why would they be now? They must be coming to try and coax her into some childish game; how she hated those games. She bristled slightly and spread her wings, hoping that the tots would get the idea and just leave her alone.

Daemona sighed and she walked right under the place where the black rose Nikko was. She didn't see the female and so didn't stop to speak to her. Likely she wouldn't have anyway. She had little to no respect for adults and less trust than her level of respect.
Daemon sighed and he looked around, dodgeing under a bush and scareing up a small squacking bird. It took to the air fluttering around and vanishing from sight. "So sis, where are we headed anyway, I know you said the mountains but.. where is that?"

Esca blinked after the two tos; maybe she'd been wrong. It certainly looked that way. What the heck was up with them that they were going into the forest? She eyed them as they walked, nabbing the bird out of the air with a deft paw sweep at the same time and breaking it's neck. She was hungry; she might as well eat while she pondered. Surely they were too young for the woods' seemingly foremost purpose...

Daemona led her twin into the woods looking around for something to do as they walked. There was nothing really that interesting out here. She wasn't at all certain why they had been warned that this was a dangerous place and not fit for tots and kids. Surely there was something good out here if the adults wanted to keep them away. "Come one bro, you are soooo slow. We have to move faster if we want to find something good."
Daemon gave his sister a rather bland look as he chewed on a twig. Nothing out here looked good, nothing out here looked fun and surely nothing out here was going to make the day any more interesting. "What do you think we are going to find? A stash of sweets, something to bug the little singing girl with or.. something more fun, like smoke bombs and dung balls?"

Esca silently began to devour the bird, watching the two tots vanish into the woods. But as she licked the last drop of blood from her muzzle, she decided to follow; it might be a bit of an amusement, or kill some time. Anything was better than hanging around here... So she jumped off her rock, and quietly crept after the tots.

It wouldn't have been hard to follow the twins, even if they were not in the line of sight, the sound of their childish bickering could surely be heard for miles around. "I want to follow rabbits brother, they are amusing and they would be easy to catch." Daemona declaired at the top of her voice.
"Foolish" Daemon insisted looking at her in the darkest look possible for one that stood about the size of a kitten. "Birds are better, they pose more of a challenge and are more amuseing than stupid bunnies!"

Esca chuckles softly; obviously these two were no ordinary tots, but were more of the class of the tot she'd met out here before...Freddy? Yes, that was it. She was once again intrigued; this new bunch of tots was definitly interesting. But still, these two siblings, for she had figured out they were siblings, were nearly as bad in their arguing. She really loathed arguing...
"Why don't you just kill one of each and compare the results instead of wasting breath on arguement? It would acheive much more, and be less wasteful."

Daemona had just inhaled to start yelling at her brother again when she was cut off by the sound of someone calling out for them to kill eachother. She blinked and screwed up her face in anger looking around. "Why dont' you shut your mouth and mind your own business you stupid head!"
Daemon blinked at his sister mouthing her words back. "Stupid head?" He rolled his eyes. How pathetic was that? Surely she could have came up with something more interesting if she had taken just a minute more to actually think.

"Stupid head? And here I thought that I was dealing with something more than a typical bunch of idiotic tots." Esca sighed, folding her wings against her back and surveying the two with reproach. How dare they mislead her so, even unintentionally? "Surely you're not so close minded that you aren't willing ti try my idea; killing a bird and a bunny is a marvelous weay to find which one is better. You might find yourself surprised." Her dark gaze shifted from one tot to another, as if measuring them.

This time it was Daemon who spoke first, holding up a paw in his sister's face. "She is right, if we both kill something we would learn what is more fun and more amuseing. He grinned. "It would also show us who is the better killer in the family. It seems to me you are just mad because you know which one of us would win the fight.
Daemona looked agast as she kept trying to find the one that was talking. "I am not worse than you and I will prove it. I will find a bunny and bring it back showing you I am the better hunter!" She growled and without waiting ran off into the woods.

Esca smiled slightly to herself; although these two were definitly tots in the whole I'm-better-then-you-so-there-nyeh sense, they weren't the typical happy happy bouncy kind of tot that so exasperated her. Obviously she could spend a bit of time out here without her stomach turning, which was a great thing. So with that in mind, she folded her wings around her body and resumed her motionless stance, waiting for the return of the demon tots.
