Well James, I think you put it clearly.

This is what I think:

Jehovah forgives a lot of sins. If you truely are sorry and plead for forgiveness, Jehovah will take that sin and toss it behind him forever. This is a way of saying that you are forgiven. The reason we sin is because of Adam and Eve, who were the first male and female on the earth. The sinning was passed down to us. You can think of the sinning as a cookie cutter. If the cookie cutter is bent, then all of the cookies made from the cookied cutter will bent in a bent shape as well. I hope that helps explain our imperfection.

Yo, jay! I'm glad to see that you joined 3nodding Now we don't have to debate at school anymore but instead in a place where others will know what we're talking about (no offence to the people at school) blaugh

Anyway, sin did start with Adam and Eve. You definitely have to confess your sins and repent to God/Jehovah, but we are all still forgiven. (in otherwords, we're not going to have a bunch of wrathful stuff happen to us if we sin)

BUT you are NOT held accountable for sin you do not know is sin. You are only accountable for the things you know are wrong and still do.

This is why babies don't need to be baptized. They don't know what is going on. God is interested in the matters of the heart not religious formalities. He wants us to decide, not have our parents dictate for us

Ooh. New topic.

Yeah. I mean, if you are to baptize a baby, not only are you practically shoving the religion down their throats, even though they're babies, but you're taking away free will.

For example, my father before he died in '96 was a Mormon. So I was required to be mormon too. I didn't believe it, I didn't want to do the things they did, yet I had to because of my family. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in the slightest mad at my father or anything, but the fact that he was forcing me to go to Church and all that Jazz was taking away my free will, and if anything, it was causing me to sin more.

Ack, I'm starting a new topic of my own. sweatdrop

It's true that a lot of people are going to be forgiven and live in the paradise earth, but some people are not going to get that chance. I'm talking about people that are seriously bad, like Hitler. They will be thrown in Gahena (might have spelled that wrong) where they will sleep forever. Do you understand that James?

I understand it, but I don't believe it. We all have a chance to repent. period. Now, of course, there are consequences, but ALL of us have a chance to repent.

That's something I never got from the Jehovah's witness bible. Jesus came to die for all our sins. ALL sins. There's no exceptions to this. Of course, there are consequences. If you're a horrible murderer, you're going to be punished in this world via prison or death penelty etc. but if that guy were to come to Christ and repent, know that Jesus is his saviour (meaning, turned away from his murderous ways) he would see the kingdom. Jesus died for us all.

The reason, Jay, I will never become a Jehovah's witness is the fact it teaches things like "not all of us can be saved" Yes, we can all be saved. All you have to do is believe Christ is your saviour and repent from your sins (again, meaning you have to turn away from your sins. Though, if you do sin again, you have an eternal amount of chances to repent again) I really respect the fact your mom and you believe what you believe, but I will not.

You are abosolutely right, Jesus died for ALL mankind. This is hard to discuss, but right now I have to go to the campground.
