 As you walk into the charms room, you are surprised at how dark it is. The colors are pretty dark, with blue walls and a green ceiling. There are many dark blue circlular tables placed around the classroom, with matching chairs surrounding them. Oddly enough, there is a fresh feeling about the room, that's pretty hard to put your finger on. It seems like a sunny field on a beautiful day. But that's probably the side effect of extra-strong cheering charms that were cast by students, because it doesn't reflect Professor Hastings' attidude. If you look up to the front of the room, you will see a large, dark purple desk. It is very tidy, with neat stacks of papers and a large assortment of quills and ink all over it. There is a dark red book in the center, where Professor Hastings keeps all of her lesson plans, grades and notes. She has a large black owl named Archemedies, who can usually be found perched on her shoulder. Behind her desk is a black bookcase that students are forbidden to touch.About the Professor:
Professor Tanya Hastings is 25 years old. She is very strict and you'd better do well on your homework, because she is a tough grader. She is pretty stuck up, and is not regarded as a nice teacher by many students. She makes pets of quick learners, but is quick to take points away from the houses of those who dare to put even a toe out of line. She doesn't like children much and tends to ignore them, even during class.

Schedule! This is what will happen. Assignments will be posted on Friday. They will be due Tuesday. The last day to get any credit at all is Thursday. I'm being nice...no groaning! xp Not schedule... So, here are the results for the first assignment: First Assignment THIS IS FINAL! Wow. The assignment was due already and here's who did it:

Sira (I'm giving her full credit because she gave me an excuse.)
Lindsay (( (She gets full credit because I haven't let her on the computer in ages and hers just died.) ))
15 points to Ravenclaw because that was the only house with students who completed the assignment! xd (And 5 points to Gryffindor because that's Lindsay's house eek )
I will leave the assignment up until Thursday, and anyone who completes it will recieve half credit. I recommend doing the extra credit if you missed. That's a D in your average. If you miss completely, points will be deducted. Probably one for each student, just because there are A LOT of students who missed!((I'm so weird. I did my own assignment...actually...)) Those four are the only ones who did the assignment. The following are the total points each house recieves/loses: Hufflepuff:

-9Gryffindor: 0 Ravenclaw:
+9Ravenclaw is the only house who recieved points! Other houses: You should start doing your work! xp Not good...except for Ravenclaw xd (And Gryffindor who managed to break even)

New Assignment It will be here when I figure out what the homework should be...I have no idea! xp Old Assignment Assignment: Tell me the incantation and describe the wand movement for the levitation spell. This is a required assignment for all charms students. It will be acctepted from anyone who has not completed it, but points will only be awarded to new members who didn't have the chance to do it before. Other stuff on the board Remember to PM the assignments to me! If you post other students can steal your work! xp Sometimes, when I'm in a good mood, I'll give extra credit to students who I can see spent time on their work, so keep that in mind when you're doing your assignments! Possible grades:
O ~ Outstanding
E~Exceeds Expectations
A~Acceptable (last passing grade!)
P~Poor
D~Dreadful
I will be calculating an average when Naomi says it's the end of term.

I feel it is needed to keep points in each class. These points will later be added to the hour glass. I will ((finally)) take time to tally up all points given during class. Here is my spot to do so.

Sira entered the classroom, eager to meet the new teacher. Charms was, infact, her favorite subject. She took a quick glance around the room and didn't see anyone, so she quietly sat at her desk and began to practise Wingardium Leviosa. With the flick of her rist, a button scampered across her desk. "Its a start" she muttered to herself. She set her quill under her wand and began to chant 'Wingardium Leviosa' once more.

By the time Sira set her wand down, she was able to make her rememball fly across from desk to desk. 'still no sign of the professor' she thought. 'I guess I'll just read.' She pulls out a very thick, old book and feels the leathery cover under her fingertips. "ah Charm Your Own Cheese....I haven't read you in a quite a while..." was the last thing she said before she stuck her nose deep into the depths of it and read.

Professor Hastings walked into the room. She saw a dark haired girl sitting at a table reading Charm Your own Cheese. "Hello," said the professor. "Doing some reading? Good habit. 5 points to...what house are you in?"
