As you can probably tell, it's been a while since some changes have been made to this guild. After a hectic start of the year, here are a few things to be considered. biggrin
- We are accepting applications for new mods.
Reply to this post with a few sentences detailing why you think you should be a mod of this guild. Also be sure to mention if you moderate any other guilds, or any other references you may have. The deadline for applications will be June 1st, no exceptions.
- Should there be subforums?
Subforums have been released for a while now, and we have quite a hefty amount in our guild account (Yay us! whee ). At this point in time (based on the amount currently in our guild account), the maximum number of subforums that can be purchased is four. If you have any suggestions, feel free to drop by the Suggestion Box to submit a few ideas. 3nodding
- Should this guild stay open after the end of Alias?
If no one objects to the guild staying open, then it shall stay open for anything Alias related after the series finale. If you feel, however, that it would be best for the guild to be closed, post your argument here and it shall be considered.
Please remember to clearly mark any spoilers for anything past the third season, even if the episode has already aired in the US.

I would like to be considered for one of the open moderator positions. I have never been a moderator of any other guilds, yet I am fairly new to this site and willingly to try it out.
I have followed Alias for all five years, and have enjoyed it every step of the way. I hope this guild remains open after the season finale, considering that here in the US, it is only a couple weeks away. I will forever love everything to do with the show, from the ever present Rambaldi prophecies to that adorable Will Tippin, and of course that malevolent Arvin Sloane.
As for subforums...I think various roleplays would be interesting, especially with the new information given during the season finale.
Personally, I would love to have episode guides, and I would love to jumpstart that.

I'd love to be considered a Mod for this Guild.
As far as experience, I Captain 2 guilds of my own and one of my "mules" is a mod for one of the Charity threads. I've also been a member of this guild for quite a while now and have over 100 posts.
I definitely think that we should continue to run this guild even though the series has ended. I've watched Alias from Day 1, and even have all the boxed sets that are out mrgreen I also think the idea of subforums is a great idea.
Some title suggestions: A Character Subforum exclusively for all our threads regarding a single actor/character
Subforums by Season for all our posts that were specifically pertaining to an episode
Chatterbox for those random discussion threads.
I know this sounds like more than 4 but I am willing to donate in order to buy us more subforums if needed.
Thanks for the opportunity, FF

To those applying for moderator positions... Within the next few days (sorry for the delay! sweatdrop ), I will be PMing you separately with a situation to assess your ability to moderate. I ask that you please do not discuss this with each other. I'm currently in the process of brainstorming some ideas, so hopefully it won't take too long. biggrin

As for the subforums, I definitely believe that we should invest in a Character/Actor subforum. Having subforums dedicated to different seasons also seems like a great idea to avoid any risk of spoiling anyone. The chatterbox idea also might be useful in keeping this guild alive if we don't limit all posts to Alias related topics. The RPG subforum also might stimulate some activity in the guild, but we'd have to make sure there are enough members who wish to participate. I think that might cover all of the bases, unless there's interest in subforums dedicated to certain shows.
There doesn't seem to be any reason to not keep the guild open, so it will stay open for as long as it can. whee

I will be leaving for camp this Friday (june 23) and I then leave for Australia on the 29th of June and I won't return until the 18th of July. I would like the chance to be a mod and answer the question. So yeah...I'm excited about potentially being a moderator! =)

I thought my lastpost stuck...guess not.
But what i had said was that I'm up to the challenge and i think this is the fairest way to do it...I've never had someone suggest this sort of option, but its a great idea! What better way to find out if your "applicants" can do the job

If she was waiting, than that was really considerate of her. Yes! I LOVED it! I was there for three weeks in Australia. Some of the more exciting aspects were when I went sand tobogganing, which is climbing up a 500 ft + sand dune and then going down it headfirst on a board. I also climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge with my team. At this adventure camp I was at, I also swung on a giant swing, which actually harnessed me in and pulled me up 32ft! I fed dolphins as well, and went snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. Overall, I had such a great time.

Hello. It's been a while, to say the least. sweatdrop
First off, I would like to apologize for my eight-month disappearance from Gaia. Life decided to ambush me in the middle of July, forcing me to reassess my priorities. I regret having neglected this guild on such short notice, especially while we were discussing ways to remake it.
I greatly apologize for the way that I've handled everything so poorly, and I hope that you all give me a second chance to run this guild.
Secondly, I would like to apologize to anyone who has tried to contact me in the last eight months I haven't logged onto Gaia. All the messages disappeared from my inbox, and the last PM I have is dated Feb. 28, 2007. If any PM sent to me had time sensitive information, please send it to me again. I would greatly appreciate it.
Lastly, the moderator positions are still open; however, since only two people applied for positions, they will be both promoted to moderator status as soon as they confirm that they are still interested.
Again, I am very, very sorry for horrible leadership skills. *hands out blow torches and pitch forks* ._.;;
