There was once an unstoppable empire with vast armies and a history of a hundred years of continuous bloodshed. This dark empire, known as Illus, grew to conquer 1/3 of the world.

In order to halt the mayhem and global takeover, the remaining 4 countries of the world banded together. A massive battle line was forged across entire continents, and the world watched as the greatest war to have ever been fought ripped the planet apart. four hundred years of war engulfed the world, and in the end, two of the original four defenders had fallen. But through their sacrifice, the great Illus armies were destroyed. Terribly, however, most of the planet had been transformed by war and hate into an uninhabbitable wasteland.

36 years have passed since the end of the Great War, and these remaining two countries still maintain an ongoing alliance, though suspicion and greed have turned their once great friendship sour. With inadequate land to expand into, the forces of the Alliance start to look for new continents to migrate to. As the nations begin to go their separate ways, desperately racing eachother towards new horizons, they slowly lose sight of their Alliance, and a new war eventually breaks out.
