However, the problem lies in that it is a Macross guild. While the Robotech fanbase may not have a problem with the Macross fanbase, the sad fact is that many Macross fans do not in the slightest bit like Robotech and in many purist cases even hate it.
However, we still have ways to get this guild running well. If you check the "Revival of the REF" thread at the top of the guild forums, you'll see I've put together a banner for us to use. So please, everyone, support the guild and put the banner in your sigs- spread the word!

No doubt! Purists? not if they dont like Robotech as a whole, since the macross branch came from the original..
You need to see the whole story to get the big picture.. smile

Some people just can't take stuff like that. I personally think their being a bunch of babies about it, but that's just me.

Macross, Southern Cross (Robotech Masters), and Mospeada (New Generation) were three completely different shows spliced together into one story in the US to make Robotech. Macross went on to have its own set of sequels to the original Macross, so it has an entirely different universe than Robotech. Some legal issues, partially including Robotech's existence, have stopped a lot of Macross stuff from hitting the US, and that's a large part of the Macross fanbase's animocity towards RT.
