I'll keep this short, have any of you ever gone to a show, and have been suprised by a scenster jumping into the pit and start windmilling frantically? Have you ever witnessed the black haired kids wearing girl pants with the old X's on the hands jump into a pit and start acting like Jackie Chan having an epileptic seizure? This, my friends, is 'hardcore dancing'.

I might seem hateful, but these are the kids who act like total dinks at shows. They like to beat the crap outta the air and if an innocent bystander gets whacked in the face by one of your spinning kicks, who cares?

Honesty, if a kid jumps in your pit and starts windmilling. Please, do me a favour and punch them in the face or, even better, jump up on stage and flying dropkick a scenster in the face. It might be hurtful to them, but I can guarantee a whole lotta fun for YOU.

Theres only one kid I like seeing who somewhat does that, and he's a fat ginger kid, and in the past two days he's beecome one of my favorite people to see at shows, because he's so crazy! So, whenever we see each other we point and say; "Theres that crazy boy/girl!" depending on which one of us says it. But, any other kid I see doing that, is for sure going to get kicked in the teeth, especially if they're wearing girl's pants/have x's on their hands.

I don't get the trend of guys wearing girls pants. I like my guys tall and with a little bit of meat on them, not these sissy little guys wearing eyeliner with their hair swooped across their eyes. I don't really have anything against straight edge but professing it to everybody by putting X's on your hands seems a little lame.

Wow, we pretty much have the same tastes in men, size wise that is. Tall with muscle, oooh yeah cool . I don't have anything against straightedge either, as long as they don't give me s**t for what I like doing.

I don't like short guys. I dated one and I always felt akward being even a little bit taller then him. I hated not being able to wear platforms when I was out with him because I didn't wanna seem too much taller then him xd . Yeah, I hate it when people try and force their beliefs on me, if they just be themselves, that's absolutley fine...But, if they start preaching to me then I have a problem.

OHGOD! I dated a short guy, and he was like really short, and I had a love for platforms, and uh...Yeah, lets just say that relationship didn't last long, at all..

I personally don't like it, but hell, if it's how the kids enjoy themselves, what the hell. It's better than all the kids just standing around and not moving at all; it drives me crazy when a show has a boring crowd.

I know. I don't know what my hang-up is about dating short guys, but, I just won't do it anymore. I don't like guys being shorter then me. I'm only like...5'6 -5'7 but considering some of the people I hang out with are 5'2-5'4 etc...Well, It's nice to have someone to actually look up to for a change (even when I'm wearing my baby's *hugs platforms*)

@Jill - Yeah, I don't like it, and I'm all for kids enjoying themselves but it ticks me off when they won't even let people do what they want. (mosh or whatever).

Ooh, you're tall! I'm only like 5'4. But yeah, I refuse to date a guy shorter then me, I already look pretty butch and if I date a short guy I think my butch look will most deffintly increase.

OHGOD! I HATE boring crowds! The show on Friday had the worst crowd ever! Only like two pits, and the first band sucked... And this girl was taking emo shots of herself! She had a camera and she was taking pictures of her feet, and she had her friend take a picture of her! Which I mean honestly, it pissed me off because it was incredibly disrespectful to the band. To me anyway.

Oh god, the windmill kids. Where do I start? All of the emos like the crowd down by the Sherman ( a lot of groups play there with their balls practically busting out of their pants) but I mean, being 5'9'' isn't fun when a kid comes hustling over flailing his arms and legs like he's taking a seizure.
When I went to see DK the bouncers broke a fight between a windmill who I guess hit some guy and just kept on going.
They're pretty annoying but I mean, stay in a corning and take a seizure not slapping people in the face with your hands displayed with "X"s
I think I just discribed this scene kid named Rob..
But yah, boring shows are a pain in the a**. Even if it's good music it's basically a waist.

Heh. Normally people looking like they were having a seizure would make me laugh...But the scensters really annoy me sometimes.

I know, most of the bands I see kind of like...feed of the energy of the crowd. The more we're enjoying it and bouncing around and stuff, the more they seem to enjoy it. If it's a boring crowd and nobody's doing anything, it gets boring for the band, too.

Oh man, one time this group was doing a little bit of touring with another.
I have no clue what the name was though ( great memory right?)
But so yah, they got so mad and told everybody to lighten up or they weren't going to play.
Here you either have younger kids or the emos standing around.
But I dont know, windmillers usually make me laugh.

scenster? your all scensters you know right? and hardcore dancing ruins the pit, but we rarely ever get one at a punk/thrash show.

Hardcore dancing my a**. Ruins the pit for the rest of the people, unless there's like lots of room and not much audience.

What one wears, though, is a personal choice, even if it might look stupid to me.

i havent seen kids dancing like this for almost three years. we used to have one venue where kids would be doing spinkicks and such. but since then i havent seen it at all. two stepping was really big for a bit. but now kids are circle pitting and pogoing their brains out. even at hardcore shows im seeing it a lot. im pretty psyched, not to long ago kids were assholes who would just knock you over if you couldnt dance as good ast them. now nobody really cares.
