Have we got any?

I'm a vocalist, guitarist and a part-time keyboard player.

My keyboard skills don't really extend beyond general theory and I'm no maestro though.

I like my vocals.

Im a guitarest, Bassest and Mandolinest. I also fiddle around on keyboards a bit...but i dont know much more then basic chords and scales.

Ive played Guitar for about 4 years now, i would say that im a mid level guitarest. Though Alot of people, including my bassest and singer in my band think im amazing. Ive played Bass for 3 years, when i was in highschool, thats what i was most known for...Becuse i guess i play a pritty mean slap bass heh. Mandolin ive played for about 2 years, its a fun little thing to lern, and diffrent then playing guitar and bass.

Thats most of the family. My first eletric, the Squire strat, My crappy $40 rouge mandolin, My first bass, the 'Farting' Johnson, My washburn bass, and the guitar i lerned on, my step dads Yamaha acusotic.

Not included in that photo

My baby, my fender amaracan made strat. Was my a gift from my family for grading highschool. I love that thing...

Soon to come:
Fender Ameracan made Jazz bass
Better quilaty mandolin, looking at gibson and martian
Secondary guitar, looking at Gibson SG

I'm dying to get hold of a Steve Vai model Ibanez.

His playing can kiss my grits, but I love the guitar style. Either a Vai Ibanez or a traditional EVH Kramer.

Vocalist here. I can't do any growling or screeching. But I can do Power Metal high-pitched vocals heart
I'm an aspiring guitarist. So far, the most I'd be able to do is rhythm guitar. I'd rally like to make a Power Metal band, especially since writing lyrics wouldn't be too terribly hard.

I don't growl or screech, although I do a mean Dave Mustaine impression.

Ha, that'd be cool to hear. I personally do a mean Geddy Lee impression.

I can't hold my Dave Mustaine for long, because I end up laughing.

There's something really funny about what his voice does in the "WATCH HIM BECOME A GOD" part of Symphony of Destruction.

I can do deep vocals like it's my job, but I do a few that aren't deep. I can drum pretty good, but I only have a single bass kicker. It's a Tama starter kit, because I don't really play too often, and it was only like $400. I like screwing around with the guitar but I can only play a few songs.

Drums:
Bolt Thrower - 7th Offensive
Iron Maiden - Wrathchild
King Diamond - Bye, Bye Missy

Guitar:
Darkthrone - In the Shadow of the Horns
Satyricon - Repined b*****d Nation
Slayer - Chemical Warfare, Raining Blood, South of Heaven, Bloodline

Vocals:
Alice in Chains - Dirt, Nutshell, Sludge Factory
Bolt Thrower - Powder Burns, At First Light
Burzum - War
Carcass - No Love Lost
Darkthrone - In the Shadow of the Horns, Transilvanian Hunger, ******** Up and Ready to Die
GG Allin - Expose Yourself to Kids, Blowjobs, Gimmie Some Head, NYC Tonite
Marduk - Departure from the Mortals, Perish in Flames
Satyricon - Repined b*****d Nation
Slayer - At Dawn They Sleep, Chemical Warfare
Sodom - Remember the Fallen, Bullet in the Head, Napalm in the Morning, M16

What do you consider to be important to vocals?

Aye, clarity is important, even with growling. Range is also a big plus for me, high and low. I personally pride myself in being able to sing an A in full voice. Although, in head voice, I can hit a little over two E's above middle C. ********, I'n my falsetto, I can go even higher, but I only use that to sing smooth, soft passages that require high notes. Another important thing is breath control. Unless it's crucial to the music, you shouldn't be gasping for air after every words. Growling especially takes a large amount of breath.

Since the power metal world has yet to see a really good Baritone, I'm trying to bridge the gaps between baritone and tenor.

You just ownd Metallica. biggrin

As for easy metal songs, try some Judas Priest.

Also, get Guitar Pro 5 because it's fantastic for learning how to play. Cyberfret.com is fantastic.
