"Chanteeeeeeeeayedunwanahgoehier." Kia wailed, tired and slightly tipsy. It'd been a messed up morning, so between some hard shots in the arm as well as some down the throat, it wasn't even noon and he was a washout.

"Shhhh, keep your voice down!" Chanti whispered. For all magical and scientific healing could do, werewolves were still the only ones able to handle an overdose if Kia one day came to that. In the meantime they'd do best to stay in their graces and keep the noise down in the neighborhood. Sure New Xhen was a slum and penty of things went bump in the night, but in the day they wanted to be respectable and had their pride.

"Ahshad-"and then he blacked out. Chanti had been to afraid to leave him like he was in Gensou, everyone knew what happened to unconcious bodies or those about to pass out.

It wasn't a pleasant place. And unlike back home, he couldn't just wear a coat with the rising phoenix and have everyone give him way and obediance because he was either on imperial business, or else at least probably capable of having them killed on whim. 'Back home...?' it sickened him that he called it that. This was his home. He hated that place. Still, about eight more years living there than in Black Amber, he supposed that was the immediate tendency. At least eight, if not more.

"Miss Ramirez! Miss Ramirez?" Rivven shouted, but tried to figure out how to keep himself from being too conspicious even doing so. Not like he'd need to stand out more for her to find him if she was around to hear the shouting. He did that enough on his own, he just wanted to avoid negative attention from others. "Lady Chantico Ramirez!?" he didn't even know what the doctor needed her for, but he would not be a bloody second longer than was necessary in getting back. He'd considered using doppelgangers to split up the search, but at this point they'd probably have human shape but lack for appearance otherwise, and they'd draw lots of attention that way. No, not them for searching.

There wasn't anyway to walk into a section of a crowded refugee area, start shouting for someone, and not get unnoticed. It was daytime and the majority of grown males in the area were exhausted from the night and asleep. Rivven had stumbled into a section controlled by a large majority of elves.

"Hey. Hey!" A elve female, scarf tying back her hair and a child strapped to her back, stepped off the porch to her shack "It's a dirty human!" elves couldn't sense species like youkai and other demons could. Rivven was a construct, but looked like a human.

At her call, several other housewives appeared from the backs off various shacks and vendors. Screaming various profanities at him, Rivven was pelted with rotten food.

He walked slowly through New Xhen. Shadowed enough (mainly for protection from the sunlight), it would be hard for them to pick out what race he was. Only werewolves could, but daylight was for licking wounds. Forgive the pun.

"And here I thought I'd have to go straight to Gensou for heroin and hemoglobin mixtures." he thought to himself with the slightest smile. The target was a young man, hardly more than a boy.

Well, human Rivven was, half human at least. Or was ten years ago. What exactly to make of constructs was a touchy subject, especially considering that all people from outside the Children's favored lands generally knew of them was that they sometimes resembled dead men they'd known once upon a time.

Rivven ignored the fruit and other food pounding off his coat or hair. He could have probably put a stop to all of it, but at risk of starting a panic, or even a riot... no, he was simply feeling in a bad temper because his body was acting up on him. This was nothing to bother with. Luckily, it seemed all the hostility had helped him though.

"Miss Ramirez." he said, walking up to her quickly, keeping the bow short and crisp. "The Doctor sent me to find you. He says he needs your assistance- it's rather urgent. They're at the school." well, she could probably see that by looking at his impatiance, though maybe that could be written off to having been pelted with spoiled foodstuffs.

"Oh Rivven!" her face burst out into a grin when she saw what they were doing to him, and then a little bit of a chuckle. But soon she saw how serious he was she ran to his side, and as she did they stopped "What's wrong?"

"Doctor Aes Sidhe said he needed your assistance with something. Morgan is about to give birth back at the castle." And the fact that he wasn't there was more agitation than the fruit and his body put together. Though the sweating felt like it had stopped, hard to tell under all the things stricking him, which meant the drugs were taking effect. He turned to go, urgently, but stopped himself out of politeness, though he was obviously itching to just take off back in that direction.

"Then that's probably why my assitance is needed then." she nodded calmly. She wasn't sure if the nervousness and sweating was just that he feared for Morgan, or something more, but she took his sleeve. "Take me to her."

Rivven nodded, and turned back about, taking off as quickly as he could, without going to a jog. He did feel tempted to just pick her up and run, but that would probably bring more negative attention. So instead he just rushed back as quickly as he could go without leaving her behind, wiping the wet spots left by the food thrown at him, and the old sweat. He was releaved when no more came up on his skin to replace it, though he felt unpleasantly... pungeant. He'd have to wash this stuff off after all this was over. Funny, not the sort of thing he would have worried about a year ago.

As they were leaving the still agitated housewives, they had to backtrack through the werewolf territory. And that's when she saw it. Kiasys being held and about to be attacked by a...a....

"Aaaah! Aah! Ah!" Chanti screamed repeatedly, terrified out of her mind. Some deep mother hen instinct was what led her to yank Kia away before it was too late. Her eyes still wide as she clutched both Rivven and Kiasys, she ran faster.

"Bah!" Cade laughed again, when he saw Chanti and the others rush past his mother and sister. Pale had picked up where Wedsday was located, and as the busy semi single mom she'd become they were going to be unloaded on him.
