I have decided that this guild needs an injection of LIFE, and I have taken this momentous task upon myself.
T he title of the thread is pretty self-explanatory, I think. What songs like you best? Why?
My favourites are Watch T.V.(beautiful melody, and nice piano), and The Mayor(for this one I just love the lyrics).
Recently, I've also begun to grow fond of The Olde Headboard, but that's largely because of the music video, I think.

Hmmm...
I've always had a deep affection for Possum of the Grotto. It was one of the first Rasputina songs I ever heard. I think part of why I like it so much is the subject matter. The other part is the uniqueness of some of the vocal work.

I, too love Leechwife.
But my favorite would have to be The New Zero. I'm not sure why exactly.. It's just so lovely in every way, even though it's a bit depressing for some reason.

Right now I have The new Zero stuck in my head, so for now it's my favorite. I like most Rasputina songs for similar reasons, interesting lyrics and exquisite musicianship, the songs are nearly always beautiful compositions, so different from the death metal me and my friends normally listen to.
To me, they're a break from the aural assault that most of my music is.
Heh, go from In Flames, Take This Life(awesome) to Rasputina, How We Quit The Forest(equally awesome), it's crazy.

i heart gingerbread coffin. the name was what persuaded to listen to it, but both the instrumentals and the lyrics are amazing.

Wow, this is really hard with Rasputina o.o;! Right now I really like Girls' School. I love the way it builds up ^.^! The chorus is really catchy too ^.^! Yeah, it rocks!

"Gingerbread Coffin" is my favorite, not only because it was the first song I heard by Rasputina, but because I loved the flow of it.
This is a first on this thread. surprised "AntiqueHighHeelRedDollShoes"
It's too catchy.
"Hunter's Kiss"
the thing Melora did with her voice after every word used to get annoying, but after listening to it I got used to it. I love the song for the ending. <3
"Leechwife"
this song is AWESOME. once again, it's catchy.

The chorus is enough to make you love it and when played live it is amazing beyond compare

It was my first raspy song so i hold dear to my heart and it is just pure genius with the cartoon insert half way through it xd
Transylvania Concubine
It is just a classic and a good classic at that... most definetly a favorite and the new live jazzier version is very good with all of it's Hitler's ejaculations goodness xd
