yes. or at least your character on gaia will,
xd firstly, i'm going to link to gaia's main rules. they apply as much here as anywhere else on gaia.
Gaia Rules and Guidelinesread them. know them. love them. if you don't, then this forum really isn't for you.
and now, onto rules that are specifically geared to this guild...
since i am a frequent visitor to ED (Extended Discussion), these might sound familiar.
1. meet splat, the stickyWe sticky those posts for a reason. We think they are very important to the growth and development of this guild. They may help you in your relations here, in providing a 'how to' of some sorts for certain things, or keep you up to date as to what may actually be happening here, such as activities, contests, or group events. so please, take the time to read them.
2. She said what!?There is nothing worse than reading a post, making an opinion based on it, posting your opinion, and then being told that that was not the point of the post. It wastes time and bandwidth, both of which don't come cheaply. be as clear as possible in your posts so as to prevent misunderstandings.
3. Check weapons at the doorWhile we are a guild based on the soon to come battle function, there will be no toleration for abuse, harrassment, or flaming. I don't know about the other mods, but i will not stand for flaming. If you partake in anything close to that, you will be warned once. If you continue, you will be banned. This also applies to blatantly insulting and name calling. Poking fun at someone is okay, but only as long as they know you are kidding.
4. ...your point is?Stay on topic. Sometimes conversations get a little off. That's fine, just as long as the main point is in there, somewhere. If a topic strays away so much that the initial point is no longer present, please, cease and desist and start another thread devoted to the new topic.
5. where's waldo? Please take the time to search a little to see if the topic you wish to discuss has already been given its own thread or not. Yes, I understand that if this guild truly gets big, there will be some repeats, and that's fine. But, it's not okay to simply start a new thread with a common topic when there are others just waiting to be posted in.
6. when in doubt...PM a mod. It's not so much a rule as a good thing to live by. Again, don't know about the rest of the crew, but if you honestly have a problem, or just don't know whether something says one thing over the other, or even if someone actually is harrassing you, PM a mod.
7. I wanna post a piccy! When posting pictures, please do not go beyond a 600x 600 pixel dimension. Huge picture sizes not only stretch the page, but make some of the other user's connections buckle under the pressure of a huge image size (56k = not fun). So be kind and resize.
and beyond that...enjoy,
biggrin !
