The Nine Commandments
1. First, foremost, and above all have fun! Be excellent to one another.
2. Behave in such a fashion that all others can also have fun.
3. Follow GAIA's ToS
4. All polls most have at least two options to choose from. Please make these two actual options not simply numbers or letters. Except, that is, in the spam subforum. There you can be as bland as you wish!
5. Conversation is not a required part of the threads, but try to make polls that will permit it. Conversations being what they are, the end of a conversation may be very different from its beginning--in other words, off-topicness is a good thing.
6. While the term 'poll whore' is widely accepted on Gaia, we find that term to be offensive on several levels and we respectfully ask that you substitute the term 'poll dancing' or just 'polling'. Let us not degrade ourselves or others needlessly, or in fact at all.
7. If a thread drops off the first page and you want to continue it, please remake your poll (this is possible by hitting "edit," deleting the poll & creating a new one or recreating the old) so that others can make more gold. If the thread wasn't yours, you can't edit the poll--but you can ask a Guild Captain to do it for you wink . Please don't revive a thread unless you want to continue the conversation as well (No gratuitous resurrections allowed here!).
8. Don't stretch the pages.
9. Don't beg or advertise in the main forum. You may mention your quest in your signature, but please leave it at that. We now have a questing subforum where you may discuss quests to your heart's content, let people know of your progress, cheer others on, and give and receive gold.
More rules will be added if and as necessary. If everyone follows numbers 1 and 2, we won't have to, and everyone will be much, much happier for it!
Just so we can be sure you've read this, please include the words "Excellent Arrangement" in your request.
