Hm. Time stopping doesn't sound like a very good way to bring peace and prosperity to a land. But I've never really thought of it. Hmmmm. I'll have to think about this now.

well, if Sethrath (the Afterlife) is leaving, then people can't die and if they can't die, why have time?
besides, that part is definately open to interpretation (like all good myths), it could be that time stops or just that pain and suffering of old age stops
