Jeyal's Delicious Breakfast Burritos heart

I asked Jeyal for this recipe because he's alway bragging about how great his burritos are. so here is how Jeyal says to make them:

you will need:
-1 egg or 2 depending on how hungry you are.
-pepper jack cheese (tis what Jeyal uses, but if you dont like spicy pepper cheese use cheddar)
-red pepper flakes
-a tortilla (flour)

how to do it:
-scramble the egg until its pretty much almost done, then add in the cheese and the red pepper.
-"spread" (the word he used, although it kinda grosses me out) the eggs on the tortilla and roll it up.
-consume the delicious burrito filled with morning flavor.

Cheese Orgy
Take cheese-itz or cheese nips. Put cheeze whiz or some other cheese topping on them, then sprinkle on a liberal amount of grated chedder. Eat and call 911 for the impending coronary failure.

Weeell... my grandma used to always make this. It's fruit salad, mega simple but always nice and refreshingly good.

2 Sliced Bananas
1 Grapefruit (Peeled and cut into wedges)
1 cup of orange juice
1 1/2 cups of chopped strawberries
1/2 Cute up cantelope
2 cups green grapes, sliced in half.

Mix it all together. Add Splenda to taste and voila!

Serves... a lot. Lol blaugh

Multigrain Pancakes

1/4 c rolled oats, uncooked 1 c Fat-Free Buttermilk, * see note
1/2 c brown sugar, packed 1 c fat-free sour cream
1 tsp baking soda

Prepare skillet with cooking spray and heat on medium until hot. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. In another mixing bowl, combine egg whites, buttermilk, and sour cream. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until moistened. Ladle in the batter, using 3 or more tablespoons per cake. I'm actually really big on smoothies. They take away sugar cravings, they're good for you,and they're drool-worthy. Here's my favorite one. It can make one really tall glass or two regular-sized glasses. (And yes,you can replace some juice with booze if you want xp )

1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 frozen banana
1/4 pineapple juice (you can just save the juice from the pineapple if you used canned)
1/4 mango juice (or any juice that you like)
1/4 cup apple-cranberry juice

Pop everything in a blender, and mix on highest speed until the fruit is well blended.

I've experimented a LOT with these and just about any fruit and juice combination tastes good. Just remember to buy canned fruits in juice and not syrup, same with pre-frozen,if you don't get them fresh. Also, the banana may sound weird in some cases, but you can't taste it,it just adds sweetness to tart fruits.

Quote:
Chocolate can be made at home - sort of. The sweet, smooth chocolate we are used to is very difficult to make and generally takes large amounts of machinery.

However, if you can find raw cocoa (cacao) beans - hint: they are available on line at www.stoneandgiacomotto.com - you can make a rough chocolate to taste.

First, you have to roast the beans (about 400 degrees for about 1/2 hour). Then you have to remove the husks which is a tedious process, but should be easy to do once the roasted beans have cooled.

Then using a mortar and pestle, break the cocoa beans into bits. Take the bits and grind them in a spice grinder (it makes a mess so be prepared to clean). Once they are finely gound they will begin to liquefy. Don't grind them too much or you will have problems cleaning your grinder.

At this point, it's up to you how long you want to grind by hand. The longer you grind, the smoother it will get. Using a mortar and pestle, grind the beans more by hand. Then heat the mixture in a pan for a few minutes. Then repeat the grinding process in the mortar.

At this point, the goop should be pretty smooth. Now you add spices - sugar (about 1/4 cup per pound of beans) and vanilla (real bean seeds do best, but extract is okay). Then add some cinnamon, tarragoon, chili powder or something other exotic spice that you might never think of in chocolate. You really can get a nice taste with some things you wouldn't think of.

Store the mess in a container and let it set (refrigeration helps). It will be a different experience, but it will bring you closer to the real thing than you get from Hershey's.
