I was so excited! I kept an extra tight grip on my cute little eggy as I had made my way home. I couldn't wait to see what would come from it!
When I got home, I set up a pile of blankets and set my egg on it, making it look like a little nest. I sat beside the pink and green mystery and rubbed it.
"Grow big and strong." I whispered to it, closing my eyes and taking a light nap, listening to the little baby breathe inside, waiting to join this world of wonders.

I was sitting with my egg, wiping it with a cloth so it wouldn't loose it's shiney-ness. I could hear the baby inside, itching to get out. I grinned, waiting for the day it would hatch.
"You're as excited as me, aren't ya?" I asked. I frequently talked to my little eggy, knowing that it would build a stronger connection. Sometimes I would sing, even though I don't have the best voice. The scratchings inside always got louder when I sang or talked.
Scratch. Scratch.
"That's my baby!" I said, snuggling with the fluffy pink tail.
Knock. Knock.
"What the? That wasn't you." I said to the egg. The knocking came again and I sweat dropped. "The door!" I said, grinning and getting up. "I'm comming!" I called, walking downstairs to the door. I opened it and gasped.
Standing there was a fully grown EmoKat.
"Hello! Come in! Come in!" I said, ushering him in. "Can I get you anything?"
"No thanks." He said. "My name is Haku."
"Hello, Haku. I'm Yoko." I say, grinning. We sat around and talked a little. "Would you like to stay here?" I asked as he said that he was new to the EmoKat world.
"I would love that!" He said, grinning. I smiled and went to get his room ready.

May 15th
I was napping beside my eggy, Haku making breakfast. He's taken up many chores around that house that I never really bothered with. He always woke up early to train and cook breakfast. We would both take turns watching the egg. The scratchings had grown more frequent, and I could tell that hatching day was coming.
"Yoko! Breakfast!" Haku said. I stayed fast asleep. He came up and tapped on my shoulder. "Wake up." He said softly. I mummbled and hugged the egg cloesr.
Scratch. Scratch.
The scratching woke me up as I yawn widely. Haku sweat dropped as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
Crack!
We both gasped as a crack ran down the side of the egg. I squealed and jumped up as we both watched and waited for the creature to come out.
"Haku! It's hatching!" I said, though that much was obvious. We both stayed silent as the pink creature crawled from it's egg. "She's so cute." I whispered, picking up the little baby. "Let's call her Sam." I said as she suddenly hiccuped. Haku chuckled and nodded.

"Ding dong! Ding dong!" Sam was yelling. I smiled at her as I worked on dinner.
"It's really late, Sam. No one would call in at this hour." I said. Haku walked in the back door. "How was training?" I asked him. He smiled, patted Sam's head, and then spoke.
"It was fine. I'm getting better."
"That's good!" I said.
DING DONG!
"Sam. I told you no one would be calling in this late." I said. Sam grinned.
"That was the real door bell." Haku said, chuckling some. I grinned sheepishly.
"Oh...yeah." I chuckled. "Can you watch this while I answer that?" Haku nodded and I left the kitchen. "Hello?" I asked, opening the door. There was a large EmoKat leaning against the wall beside the door. He looked up as the door opened.
"Hello. Is a Haku here?" The Emokat asked. flashing his red and black eyes. I cocked an eyebrow.
"May I ask who you are?" I asked. He cocked his eyebrow, but answered anyway.
"I am Itachi Uchiha." He said.
"And, judging by that headband thingy, you're a ninja like Haku?" I asked. He nodded mutely. "Fine. You can come in, then." I said, stepping aside. "He's in the kitchen, and be sure not to freak out the baby!" I yelled.
"Fine." Itachi said, walking towards the smell of fried potatos. I followed him, taking back the spatula from Haku as I got to the oven. Haku looked up and looked surprised.
"Itachi! What are you doing here?" He asked. Itachi shrugged.
After dinner, which included a long talk to Itachi with lots of questions, I decided that Itachi can stay as well. He didn't have a place to stay, and he said that he wanted to train.
"Well, I'll see you guys in the morning!" I called as I went to sleep.
"Night!" Haku said.
"BWAH!" Sam yelled from her crib.
Soon the house was silent and all the inhabitants were asleep.

"Sam? Come on, Sam. It's time to wake up." I shook the bundle in Sam's crib. "Come on, sweetie. Haku!" I called, giving up. Haku walked in, Itachi staying at the door.
"Yes?" Haku asked.
"Sam won't wake up. Care to give it a try?" I heard giggling under the blanket. "Sam! You are awake!" I pulled the covers off and gasped.
Lying in the blankets was an adult emokat, grinning up at me. "Oh my gosh! You've grown!" I said, smiling. Haku grinned as well.
"Congratulations, Sam." He said. Sam giggled and sat up.
"Mommy!" She said, grinning. "I'm so happy to be all grown up now." She smiled again.
"Well, let's get downstairs for some breakfast." I said. Sam nodded and got out of her now useless crib.
Egg growth watch:

August 25th
It's been awhile since Itachi had joined us. He was still as moody as ever. Sam took pleasure in gettingo his nerves and Haku took it on himself to get her out of Itachi's sword's reach. I was always the one sitting back and laughing my head off. Itachi and Haku would go off a lot to train in their 'ninja ways' and Sam and I usually sat at home, entertaining ourselves, which usually included Sam making a fool of herself while I laughed my head off.
"Yoko-chan. I'm booooooooorrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeedddddddddddddd." Sam was whineing today.
"Then do something stupid so I can laugh." I said. That would usually get her to at least giggle, but I guess the joke was old as she just moaned. "Fine. Find something to do. You're an adult. You're not a baby anymore." She moaned.
"FINE." She rolled her eyes and left the house.
"Ah. Peace and quiet." I muttered, closing my eyes.
A few hours later, Haku and Itachi came home, Itachi looking murderous.
"Where's Sam?" Haku asked, looking around.
"She's out. She was bored and left for a while." I answered, getting up to start dinner.
"Yoko-chan!" Came Sam's voice as she made her usual return. "I have a new friend! She's come to live with us!"
Okay. That wasn't normal.
I ran to the door and looked out. Sam was walking back with a pretty red emokat.
"Hello." I said tentitavly, not knowing what type of kat this was. The red kat smiled and bowed.
"You must be Yoko. My name is Bara. Sam here has caught me on a good day, but usually I'm a little....um....rough around the edges, as some have said." Bara said, smiling.
"That's cool, I guess." I said.
So, that's how we got another member to our weird emokat family.
