They hear each dying ember.
As moonlight shone, all alone in the dark house nights.
Ending sounds of music songs, closing doors, tv roars.
All was silent, then breaking glass shaterd sleeps one was gone.
Once a quiet home was nothing but weeps.
Soft nosies gone, now music of death.
All were weeping,no one could rest, a family broken friends all so sad a life was over because of that which broke the glass.

So what do you think?

good good but... um.... it sounds like somthing i heard before... ah nevermind.

Broken bells of happiness lost
Iron hearts rusted and destroied.
The broken metal of love
the ice cold of the world of iron and steel we live.
It left all with no one and fallen dreams of hope.
This is the world of today,
this is the world of tomarrow.

That's what I felt went I read it.

I'm not the best at giving my opinion on poetry but I did like yours. I'm not sure I understand what everything means/ symbolizes -- but I did like the imagery used in it. smile

How are you not sure....

[sigh] I wrote this rather long reply last night, and notice now that it never appeared. I hate it when that happens. gonk

My problem comes from not being able to analyze poetry on my own very well. I need someone to break it down (in simple terms) for me. Then, if I understand what I'm readong I enjoy it more.

For example, the family is shaken up, depressed and something got caught on fire? Was it arson? Someone in the family was killed right? Where they the target?

When I read the poem the first time I thought that maybe the family were victims of racial hatred. The line that tells us the uproar and mess is all because of "that which broke the glass" made me think of how people would throw bricks through windows to scare people.

Please don't interpret my inability to properly analyze poetry as meaning I didn't enjoy your work. I like your poem. smile
