In Oblivion, i was trying to complete the Bad Medicine mission for Ocheeva. And I was sneaking my way twords the gate, and I get spotted. Well, not necessarily, he just stared at me. I actually start humping the ground and he's like, "I gotta cut down on the ale cause I'm seeing things..." Then I move for the door and he looks at me again. I'm like, "Ok, you're bothering me..." He gets killed, I move on
In short, that guy was stupid.

Wow. I've heard they pimped out the AI in Oblivion a lot! Must be awesome compared to Morrowind.
Royal Guard: OMG! This PC dude is taunting King Helseth! Let's let the stupid booger get mad and attack the PC, knowing he's probably gonna get killed, and watch as he dies, letting the PC get away scott free cuz Helseth attacked him first!
Royal Guard 2: I'll get the popcorn!
Other Royal Guards: Popcorn! Yay!
King Helseth: You're all fired!

I noticed that too. It seems that if you can slice their throat without being detected (a very easy feat for me, The Count, because I am a master of sneak and the blade, and Umbra is my weapon), you can not be detected.

I love the fact that they actually follow a normal routine in the game. I was so psyched when I saw them eating and sleeping (for this reason I'd sometimes try to steal food under their noses and watched them sleeping for hours on end biggrin ).

...Taunt, and Kill........ taunt and kill, i went inviso and killed the bugger with a critical hit looted his corpse and walked away with nothing more then a funny look from the guards, how i love my lvl 55 white khajiit
