Hey hey my fellow PAers. I was just glancing at the member list, chuckling at the fact that it seems I have the power to ban my fellow mods from the guild, when I noticed that the member list was rather... not-gargantuan. While I certainly don't want our dear guild being flooded with silly annoying n00bs who never actually say anything besides "me too" or "lick if hot," but I think we need to get more members. We are, actually, every couple days I see another join request or two, but not many of those people who have joined actively participate in the guild, or even participate at all. Observe the following, and despair:  *sniffle* Too many small numbers... crying So anyways, do you guys have any ideas for recruiting people? I've made a topic about it in the Video Game guild, trying to disguise it as a mere PA discussion, but it was moved to the recycle bin crying Surely there must be a way to drum up members besides that not-so-visible guild recruiting thread or through our signatures...

I suppose one way to do it is provide quotes and/or strips for each post we make, one appropriate for whatever discussion goes on. For instance, one about Prince of Persia. Bring up how the Prince nags at the chick a lot, and for laughs show the strip with him totally dissing her out and running out of sand.
And if there's a n00b who SPELS LIEK DIS!!1, post the strip with Mr. Period.

I'll work on posting that Mr. PEriod comic in GD whenever I run into n00bs like that.

I like the idea of using choice strips to drum up support. We might want to make sure that we have links to the guild in our sigs somewhere if we do that though.

We've got a variety of sig banners in the "Banners and Guild Related Images" sticky for any of you who don't have one ^_^ Use your own server for them or die.

Yeah, and I know it is only for a very just cause, but I still feel like that is a bit of plagerism. I dunno, maybe all the honors classes have really made me fear the wrath of plagerism, but still, I know how much it can bother a writer or artist to have their work edited.

It isnt if you put somewhere on there that the original character and/or image is property of PA. Like how I did with my VGcats bumps:

Mr. Period is a great idea. smile I may have to start using that comic on a regular basis when forced to speak with n00bs.
Anyway, I know what you mean... Once in a while I look to see how much people are posting, and it's a little bit depressing. We need more people involved!
