This forum is going to be for people who would like to suggest... whatever it is they would like that they think should be added to the guild.
Is there anything missing?
Should something be changed?
More of this? Less of that?

I think it would be good if there was a thread that described story events that happened so far to let us newer users know what the ******** has happened without digging through 420 or so pages of ooc chat to find out.
You know... just a thought.
Also what might be good.. All of you who have been here for a while know the place well i'd assume.. but its seems pretty confusing for a newb to the guild. (i had to do a lot of digging to find out whats been up) So perhaps if you could add a "How to get Started: A Place for new members" thread to explain the steps on how to get them started and integrated into the RP as fast as possible.
What cha think??

It didn't sound mean at all to me. It sounded rational and very helpful. I'll probably see about creating a thread like that if ever I again am graced with that beautiful thing called "spare time".
Perhaps I'll make time. *Nods* Until then, I'll honestly thank you for this idea. We've been such an intimate group, I've found that we've given no thought to those coming in, which is a shame, for although this is nice, a new face is something we should strive to obtain, surely.
I'll see how this goes and try to keep everyone updated.

I have a list of things that need to get done, many of which have already been mentioned in the latest News update. However, I will go into depth now and list for you all of the things I have planned for the guild, and...
I AM ASKING EVERYONE TO COMMENT.
I have too many things to do, and if people would like to help, then feel free! I will now begin the list, and you can kick back and comment, criticize, opt to help, demand changes, whatever you want. JUST DO IT.
COMPLETE Profiles updated on all OT + existing characters
-> personalities
-> backgrounds
-> in-game happenings
-> misc. facts
-> BC + DoC related characters [that are missing] need to be included
Character relations updated
-> include new section for OT
-> flesh out previous relations
-> alphabetical order for convenience
-> tidy up layout
COMPLETE BC thread
-> episode scripts/summaries
-> where the OT were during/after BC
-----> TIMELINE?
-> characters (actions, speech, etc.)
-> etc.

Reading over what I wrote made me--once again--realize how much of a computer I am. Geez~
THANK YOU. I have support on all those things from one person then. Now to wait for the others.
I will be taking action on most of these things on my own. Certain things like editting the main page and changing around the subforums and whatnot I will refuse to touch until I hear from Akemi and Azzy.
Otherwise, no go. I'll send out PMs tomorrow or in the coming days if I must. Expect them.

You have a tentative green light on my part. However, I'd caution you to consult with Azzy, or I will do it, before you start digging around in the subforum area, it terms of changes/additions. Azzy, at the moment, is still sick.
Or rather, she got over the strep and has a cold, so I'm not sure how much energy she has to throw into this. I can probably help, but most of the work would have to be later in the day, due to classes.
WRO...we'll probably need a subforum for, yes. Even though, I'll say it right now, I hate WRO. I do. I hate it.
As for the BC scripts, I think it would be easier to just link a site for others to read it at their leisure, for those who have not already done so. I don't need to, I've already read it.
But it would be way too much clutter to devote an entire page/subforum to.
Other than that, no real complaints. I'll talk to Azzy sometime later this week, if not tonight, then either on or before Moday.

I assure you, I have refused to even touch the subforums until I talk to Azzy about them. And I also have to bring up the subject of how we can revive Tifa's Seventh Heaven as the renegade Avalanche HQ, considering Cloud won't have much choice but to join with the Turkeys and fight this older version of Avalanche.
I have actually reached out to Azzy fleetingly, but I'm afraid I'm all over the house today. So many things to do, and my father has kept me busy with fixing up the van, errands all day, packing, etc. I would appreciate you getting in contact a bit more thoroughly than I have. When she can, no rush, since I'll not be on until Tuesday probably.
I have been musing over putting up a link, and I favor that option, so that's what I'll do. However, I will still pick and choose quotes and situations to make my points in the BC thread, which I am still going to put up.
But my brain is failing me. I'll explain that more fully when I can think.

This is great. I'd say I would help edit the front page, but all I could really do would be to change the logo. I'm not really all in depth of the current plot right now, and I think Tseng can do a much better job than I with that.
So if you want, you can make a new plot paragraph and even edit up the joining list if you want.
I was also wondering about the guild joining price--should we get rid of it, lower it, rise it, or keep it the same?
Cosmo Canyon sounds like a great new AVALANCHE HQ. And are you deleting the Shin-Ra HQ subforum, or are you just moving it somewhere else so we can revive it/look back eventually?
You can make a new WRO subforum, too, that's fine, and the Edge and Midgar thing is fine, too, or if you want, we could make two seperate forums, either decision is fine with me. Although, I don't know what WRO stands for at the moment. xD I never played DoC.
So yeah, all these updates are great. biggrin

Oh thank God. I'm so relieved to know I've got a green light on a lot of these things. As I said before, I will gratefully accept any help you can give, and even if it's something as simple as a logo change, it'll be much appreciated.
I wanted to ask a little more into that, however, as to what our logo will BE now. I don't think we should center our attention specifically on BC or DoC, so I'm guessing maybe we can take a plain FFVII logo? Truth be told, I don't know anything more than that. Suggestions?
As for the joining list, mind going a little more in depth as to what you mean by that? Forgive me for not understanding completely. I'm a little out of it, for various reasons.
Hmm, joining price I think we should keep for the same reason we got it there. It's only a mild deduction, but it serves to show that we're serious about our members being dedicated. Hmm... makes me wonder if we shouldn't boost it. *Shrugs* I vote we keep it as it is, at least.
I think Rufus had some ideas as to what we can do with the front page, so perhaps I'll just pool those ideas together with mine and we'll edit it as soon as I can make time to.
I will also work on the creation of the two subforums, but only after I get a few things done before that. As for the Shin-Ra HQ subforum, I wasn't going to delete it... but I was. By that I mean, I wanted to transfer all of the threads INSIDE the subforum into the Filing Cabinet subforum, just so we can look back on it and have them there for reference. I was never one to delete posts, so I feel /strongly/ about keeping all our RP posts.
After we've emptied the Shin-Ra HQ subforum, I figured we'd just rename it and use it as the AVALANCHE or WRO subforum.
ANOTHER THING!
I have to say that over time Tifa's Seventh Heaven has really fallen into decay. No one's ever RPing in there. But instead of just leaving it there or deleting it, I figured we should make larger efforts to revive it. Which means getting more of the original AVALANCHE positions filled, and purposefully moving to RP in that subforum. But, that's my opinion. Comments?
