Imperfections. A wonderful thing yet horrible thing. We make stories on them, and we fail from them. Tragedy, happiness and regret are all mixed in with this trait. However, it is our burden of free will. We must bear it with dignity.
I know a lot, and I mean a LOT of people who make a roleplay with no real plot elements. That kills a character, and makes then one dimentional. This RP will take these traits in a way that will force character development, foils, yps and downs and the ever so needed plot. I suppose there will be a stary in there somewhere, but the real stary is what you make of it.
The rules you alread know. These are just some new ones.
1) You're character is encouraged be a foil for another character. If there are three characters, make a foil to one.
2) The character is encouraged to have a weakness. No, not the normal 'Afraid of heights' crap. I mean personality flaws. Overprotective of another member, the leader, smart but unsure of ones self, Ignorant of the situation, selfish, etc.
3) Powers...there won't be any. No, we won't be able to do anything fantasy-esque till a little bit later. That means that not everybody knows how to fight with long pipes and wooden swords. We are regular people, living in a regular world.
4) There will be no 'collect the crystals to save the world' crap, as well as any wars. The only war will be the one between us and our poisions that we ourselves chose.
If you need, I will help educate you on these elements. Although I doubt any of you have not recieved these lessons, some of us need a bit of a refresher course. Any idead you need for a plot can be found by looking up the entire Digimon first season via Youtube. Only after watching some of the truely great episodes with my sister(Who looked them up), I realized how good it was. The characters developed, a viable plot, and other stuff that made it, in my opinion, a great childrens show.
You don't have to be restricted to just Digimon. Just search up anything that barely anybody knows, and look through the plot. It works wonders.

Well, here is the ever popular plot! Nevermind 'Borrowed' elements, because I need pratice with a good plot before making my own.

Whats the point? Nature works to bring everything back to its origional state, so it will always bring down what we make. Ideals, science, religion, everything. Nature will take it away. What is the point? No reason to dream, dreams always fail. That start you wished upon? It has vanished beneath the clouds of smog you have made in defiance to nature. Even the beauty of nature will die out, leaving the cold, harsh part of it behind. The kind that kills. The kind that crushes.
Thousands upon millions of people think these thoughts, laying on their cots and thinking of better days. However, something in their hears has done something to them. No longer do they have joy, hope or dreams. They are stuck, not knowing where they come from or where they are going.
However, this stary is not about them. Yes, it does deal with it, but this is not about them. This stary is about the last of the last. Those who break past all those self-made barriers and achieve greatness. This is a potental for everybody, but it just so happens that this group had the chance to grow it.

Enough philosphic crap. Get on with the story.
Basicly, you guys will be attending a summer camp. Wierd things have been happening to the world, but no major crisises for you. Snowfall in june, the river drying up one day and overflowing the next, sudden surges of brightness and odd whispers every time there is silence. As I have said, nothing major.
At this summer camp, our group of rag-tag adventurers find a computer in their cabin. The odd thing is, it only has one file on it. This file was named 'Dream Flux'. Thinking it was some sort of game, they opened it.
...
The screen goes blank. Looks like the computer is off, shut down for some reason. Turning it off and on again does nothing, so they assume it broke. This was their fatal error.
During the night, something happens to the world. It changes. Or, perhaps they change. Whatever happened, they sure as hell arn't in the world they know and love anymore.

(( I like it. I was wondering when you were going to pop from all the rps that just seemed to always go right. I was waiting for you to do this. I think this will be one of the greatest rps ever made, and one of the greatest I will ever partake in. I will use myself as my character.))

((Hehehehe, spiffiness!! ^.^ (Kinda reminds me on how I changed my tastes in manga; like, instead of the action-packed save-the-world type thing, I've been going more into stories about the people themselves and internal struggles - like Fruits Basket or Crossroad or something)

Personality: UHHHH, she's very into drawing and reading. Very VERY flighty, and spends most of the day in a dreamworld. She can be very wacky and open around those she feels comfortable with, but is somewhat stand-off-ish and shy around those she doesn't really know. It's part of her fear of being judged/unaccepted. Don't ask me where she got it from, though. Other flaws include her intense worriment over everything, fears of anything having to do with death or alcohol, and her extreme lack of self-confidence. She's kinda the purehearted type. Never hear her cuss or say anything 'dirty' 'n whatnot. Aaaaaaand, yeah. More on her later. ^^;
And she's a terrible cook too. ))

Age: 17
Appearance: A younge man of 5'7'', he has short brown hair and green eyes. He has an average build and always wears a silver cross on a chain.
Personality: He is a forward person and has a big mouth sometimes. He is very out going, but is quite lazy when it comes to doing things on his own. He loves to seek andventure with friends, because ever since he was little, he wanted to be a hero from a fantasy book. He seems like a leader, but he doubts himself and dosen't know excatly what he would do if he ever got the chance to become a heo like in the books.
Background: He loves adventure and grew up playing knights wuth neigborhood kids. He always loved to practice sword fighting with sticks he found in his backyard. He was always obssesed with sword fighting, but since no one ever tuaght him, he isn't really good. He dreams of one day becomeing a true hero and to protect people he loves. Last year at the camp, he even ran away to spend a week alone in the woods just to feel like a knight in the forest.

((Wow, I forgot about this. I made it REALLY late at night, so this might as well never existed. AND I discover it on the same day information on the BS comes out. What luck!
Don't worry, you will save the world in the end. However, that is NOT how it is going to start. Heck, that is not how it is going to be for most of the RP. Most of it will consist of finding a way home, disputes between friends, our lives slowly twisting apart and just discovering traits.
I don't have the time to make all the elements of a good, orderly RP right now, so I could use some help. I know you guys can do it. You already made a character sheet.
Ignore obvious Digimon rp-offs, too.))

Bastion stood outside of his cabin with so other kids from camp. He looked up at the sky with awe. " Wow.... I wonder what thats about. Hey, Susie!" he called to one of the nearby cabins where some girls stayed. " Susie! Come look at this!" he then went into his own cabin to fetch the other kid that was in his cabin.

It took Susie a moment to tear herself away from her book enough to hear her name. Looking up, she instantly recognizes Bastian's voice. "Hm? What is it?" She gets up and follows him towards his cabin, but stops at the entrance. (Rules were girls weren't allowed in the boys' cabins, and visa versa; she didn't want to get in trouble) She was about to chance a look inside and ask him what he wanted her to see when she caught a glimpse of the sky. In an instant, she eyes became transfixed on it. Wow... it felt like something out of a dream.

Name: Stan Yum
Age: 15
Appearance: Is 5'6" with Asian-esque hair. By that, he means it sticks up without having to use any hair products and is jet black. He's overweight, but not to an extent that he's incapable of physical activity. He is known to wear jeans and the same shirt, but in different colours.
Personality: Stan is a hopeless wreck. He has no endurance, but participates in every sport. He wants to be smarter, but doesn't have the will to study. He tries his hardest in everything he does, but he knows his best isn't good enough. His focus is widespread, unable to just think about one thing. Some would say he's scatterbrained, others say that he's ambitious. But in his own mind, he knows he's a failure.
((This'll do... He has enough flaws to cover for the more competent characters. I'll make a post after someone else replies))

Bastion looked up to the sky as he called Tobais out again. " Hey man, getout here before you miss it, this is weird! The sky is acting strange." he then stood outside with the girl, he had forgotten her name again. " Weird...." he mumbled as he looked on.

"Y-yeah..." She said, somewhat uncomfortable about standing so close beside this guy, but she decided not to mention anything. Since the first day of camp, she had taken a slight interest in the guy. Just one of those instances when you see a person and how they act and you think "Hey, that would be a cool person to get to know sometime!' He had that confident air about him, and didn't hesitate to show his personality around others. And he always seemed to include everybody in everything. She wished she could be like that. All in all, he was pretty spiffy.
In a sloppy attempt to continue conversation, she was about to ask if maybe it could be some kind of strange weather patterns that caused it. She thought better of it though. Honestly, no possible weather pattern on earth could make the sky appear so.... so... wonky. o.O
"... Do you think it could be chemicals in the air or something...?" Speculated Suzie instead. Wait, what was this guy's name again? Darnit, she completely forgot. "Maybe there was a plant explosion nearby or, like, something..." She faltered at the end. Nah, that couldn't be it either. She's never heard of a plant explosion doing something like that either. She cringed, feeling she probably said something stupid again. In front of this guy of all people, no doubt. Bah.
