Jeremy sat in his personally made lab, working on some invention just like always. He wasnt yet certain as to what he was going to be creating, but he knew it would be grand. "Put this here...and...that there...No no no! Its all wrong!"

Victor was sitting on a stool with one leg crossed over the other. He was peeling an apple with his knife and watching his father. There was a spark of interest in his eyes at the new invention. Many, or most of his father's inventions were junk, but this one seemed like it had high prospects.

"Aha! Ive got it!" Whatever Jeremy had done wasnt the right thing to do. The invention exploded and covered the area with dark sut. "Well that wasnt right..."
Chase glanced in after hearing the explosion to make sure everyone was ok. He looked at the two and saw they were fine for the most part.

Well....I guess I was wrong about that one... Victor grinned and sucked a piece of apple in his mouth. He chewed thoughtfully, and wondered if he should check on his dad. Nah... He stayed in his comfortable spot, peeling the apple.

"Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!" Jeremy cursed. "Some day! Some day Ill come up with something magnificent! Then we'll be richer than ever Victor!"
Chase quickly went into hiding again when he heard his father screaming.

"Hahaha! How many times have I heard that, father?" Victor stood and stuck the apple in his mouth. He brushed off his clothes and helped his dad clean a bit. He took the apple back out and looked at the old man fondly. "And how many times do I have to tell you that I don't care about being rich? All I want is adventure! I haven't done anything exciting in ages!"

Victor sighed heavily. "I know, father. I don't mean to complain. Besides. I like working with you...and looking after the runt."
Damn money...It's always about money! Victor thought to himself. Although he thirsted for adventure, he could never leave his family.

"Yea...that runt..." He sighed quietly, hating the fact that his younger son tried his best to stay away from him.
Chase came in quickly with a paper in his hand. He ran right over to Victor then handed it out to him. It was the announcement of the race.

Victor took the paper from his brother. "Hmmm...what's this?"
He read the lines of the paper and his eyes went wide. "Dear God...This is......"
He looked up to Chase. "Is this for real?"

Jeremy raised an eyebrow and approached his older son. "Whats that boy?"
