It was also his grandmother who passed on the powers that Ban has His powers are called "Evil Eye" ("Jagan") that allows him to make his
opponents see illusions for one minute, and "Snake Bite," a 200 kilogram-force grip. Possessing the battle sense of a genius, he has gone through many battles and has gathered a lot of experience. At one hundred percent power, his "Snake Bite" materializes into reality, transforming his right hand into a serpent's claw summoned by the spirit of Asclepius. (It should be noted, that for the reason of his arm, despite what he may say, he has never used 100% in the anime) At this level, he was able to defeat the all powerful "Raitei" thus, indirectly, ending the era of Volts. In the latest arc "Get Back the Lost Time", he was to use his serpent claw again against a rampaging Raitei. However, Ban's serpent claws come with great risk. Using this ultimate power damages Ban's body so much so that his life span is shortened with each use. Also, his Jagan can only be used 3 times within 24 hours in a non-consecutive manner. It cannot be used on the same people twice in that period. And just like the dire consequences of summoning the Dragon Claw, it is said that using the Jagan more than three times severely threatens Ban's life as well.
In the "Get Back the Lost Time" arc, his skills have grown by leaps and bounds due to his learning abilities. Against Natsuhiko, he managed to execute a new move, "Snake Kill", using his left hand (It should be noted that his right hand is his main attacking hand).
In order to summon Asclepius, Ban must chant out the following: "(Now, by your right hand)...Before the end of this cursed fate, I shall be the one to embody Asclepius as he descends from the heavens. Now, I shall state my request: En garde! And attack with thy fangs of venom!" While he's saying the incantation, the outline of a snake's scaly body can sometimes be seen around him. Ban has never lost a fight after invoking the incantation even without using the Jagan (as was the case in his IL battle with Fudou). Often, his opponent will get the VERY short end of the stick. Due to its overwhelming results, some fans have jokingly called this move "Ban's winning speech".
Ginji Amano
He's the current partner of Ban Mido and was once the fearsome "Lightning Emperor" and the leader of a gang called "The Volts"
in the Limitless Fortress. He received the title "Raitei" (literally, "Lightning Emperor") because of his ability to control electricity. This control grants him several unique abilities such as amazing regenerative power as well as the ability to become a human magnet and battery. Despite Ginji's dark past, his demeanor is one of an unassuming, energetic, and friendly boy with a strong sense of justice. He makes friends easily, often without trying - and is trusting and open to an almost naive extent. But when exposed to remnants of his past, he has a tendency to revert to his darker "Raitei" persona. For comical purposes, he also turns into a droopy chibi, most likely designed after a tare panda. He's frequently beaten up by Ban (comically) for doing stupid things. Little of his past is known. We do know that his childhood guardian is Teshimine Takeru, then ruler of Mugenjou. After his depature, Ginji founded "VOLTS", a gang lead by The Lightning Emperor, and "The Four Kings of the Volts" to protect Mugenjou from the monsters of the Beltline.
