Just thought it would be a fun topic. Ever catch yourself saying or doing something that you've seen/read in "Slayers"? Ever called someone "Jellyfish brain" or "Namagomi" for instance? Post it here! mrgreen
Granted, I'm new to "Slayers", but I do know enough to have had a few such moments: I've found myself referring to a few individuals as "jellyfish brains", greated the principal at my high school (before graduating, woohoo!) as "namgomi-san" (just trust me, the guy's a total jerk), and I now refer to my can of mace as...you guessed it..."mace-sama".
Ok, someone else's turn! mrgreen

Uhh... I don't recall ever doing that... Maybe some people do that ON purpose, but unconciously is never possible for me. xp Just not my style.

I use terms from animes all the time...
I find it fun, because most people don't get it... unless I give them the full story behind it.

Some friends of mine in college & I came up with some sayings based on Slayers. The first was from a roomie of mine who, when talking about something obvious, would say, "It's like a Noonsa staring you in the face," based on the character of the same name in the first season. The second was thought up by a friend I got into the show. She describes Xellos as being the original point-&-click interface, based on the episode in Next showing his involvement in the Kouma Sensou. The last is one I came up with after watching Premium & insisting that the second friend make an icon based on the part where Xellos hits the octopus. She was having a tough week & I said, "Sometimes you're the staff & sometimes you're the octopus," which led to the conclusion that she'd been having an octopus week.

rofl Good ones Anne! rofl My favorite is the "Sometimes you're the staff & sometimes you're the octopus"! LOL!
Sug chan is right though, I do that stuff on purpose. I mean hey, if there's a good insult, why not use it. I also like to call people names or tell them to shut up in Japanese, because it's fun to see the puzzled looks on their faces. The principal was funny, after I called him namagomi-san, he looked like he was gonna' sprain his brain trying to figure out what I said! LOL! (PS: If he even HAS a brain. rolleyes )
I also enjoy calling my can of mace mace-sama, it's funny. Mine is special too, not only does it contain pepper spray, but tear gas and invisible uv dye as well! I ordered it through the Century catalogue I got from my Karate instructor. One of my classmates was looking at it in class one day though and took the safety off and sprayed it (he is such a DOPE!!!); it only hit the floor, but everyone was gagging and coughing, our eyes and noses were running too. On the bright side, at least I know it works. sweatdrop

Okay, where to start?
So, I have a friend named Wesley. He's tall and blonde (like Gourry) he even has his IQ! (It's a pain being with him.) I call him Jellyfish brains, cement head, and moldy brain zombie. ( stare And he always makes fun of my height. Grrrrr. But I still love him...how can ya hate him?)
And somethimes I run around my school yelling FIREBALL! and throw paper balls at people.
And sometimes, I find myself trying to blow up my science teacher with the Dragon Slave. She's a B**** anyways...
Sometimes I do that stuff on purpose, and sometimes i just do it...so yeah.

Oh well in that case I have said something from slayers... And that was "sore wa himitsu desu"...
Which if you try to tell someone what it means it results in such a funny situation.. xd For example!
Person: "What's that?"
Me: "Sore wa himitsu desu!"
P: "What!?"
M: "That's a secret!"
P: "What is?"
M: "Sore wa himitsu desu!"
P: "What did you just say!?"
M: "That's a secret!" XDDD
Yes I've had conversations similar to that.. But instead of being nice and telling someone what it actually means I just keep doing that... >3

I was "Drago Slaved" by a baseball to the back of the head, my friend even said "Dragonslave" and the moment I reacted WHAM! It was funny, but incredibly painful at the same time ^^.
