I noticed during spring and probably all through the summer and nice part of fall the posting in the guild dropped off. Well I guess died would be a more apt description... eek
I hope we can round up more recruits this fall, and get our old regulars back in the posting saddle.
I was thinking of hosting two contests to encourage our members to stop by more often and help bring in new members.
The first contests would be one for who posts the most non spam kind of posts in a two month period(time frame to be announce later) and the other a recruitment drive.
Prizes will be a donation item(I would be happy to provide the prizes MD) or an envelope for that month.

Hopefully the guild picks up. The idea of a contest is nifty, but hopefully people will come around more.
Sorry I haven't been on much, had a trophy run last month, lots and lots and lots of fishing sweatdrop will be around more often now though :Xd

I like it! And Polky.. do you ever catch yourself nodding off when you're working for one of those trophies? Reason I ask is if I fish too long in one day it's like my brain shuts down and knocks me out in self defense against boredom. ROFL

rofl All the time. But after a while, you actually get used to it and try to get to that state because then you can fish uninterrupted for an hour or two in a zoned-out state. Otherwise, it's easy to get distracted with other stuff.
If anyone ever does decide to go for a trophy, I'd recommend a Bass'ken bronze as a starting point. The least amount of competition is there, and if you use A-bait, it's a huge advantage, and you could get by with 2 hours of fishing a day on average. That sounds like a lot to some, but for gold trophies you're looking at 5 to 10 hours depending on the level of competition gonk

If things go well, I will be back in the saddle. Besides, I need some action over my summer break... why not spend time here posting on random things whenever the opportunity presents itself? I am sure other guild members share my sentiment. And as for the contests... whatever brings activity here, I have no problem with it! For now, I shall lurk in the shadows... ninja
