Those of you in MB...do you play the song "Basket Case" by Green Day? It's much much fun. Played it in high school and college...the tubas run around and act like fools!

I've heard a college band play it before. Our BDs probably wouldn't let us actually play it though.

It's tradition to play this song before fourth quarter in my college band. So much so it's known as the "Fourth Quarter Song."

Our BDs mostly make us play retro stuff, which I don't have a problem with. It would just be nice to play something that you hear on the radio for once.

I enjoy playing this song. The flutes don't play much so we dance alot but it's fun.

I went to two different high schools because I moved after 9th grade back to my original hometown, and the first high school I went to played retro stuff as well...NOTHING after like the '70s was ever played, lol. But the high school I went to 10th-12th grade played it. Lotsa fun biggrin

I've never heard of the song, our band doesn't play it. But if us tubas get to run around like crazy, i want to play it!! xd

We don't get to play fun songs because our band director is stupid. We're stuck playing things like "Make Me Smile". We make cow calls with our tubas though (our school is called "Cow Valley").
