It's more of a generalization but this site has helped me learn a lot:

http://www.wikipedia.org

Enter anything you want and there is so much information contained in it. Just put in neutron star or black hole or something and it will come up with loads of information plus links at the bottom of the page.

Enjoy wink

Have you looked at this yet? It's an online encyclopedia completely dedicated to astronomy, with some particularly interesting info on xenobiology.

I particularly like the xenobiology bit, all sorts of cool stuff.

A few more that I missed the first time around razz
note, these are mostly blogs, but highly worth reading, since they are the blogs of people intimately involved in aerospace and the space community at large

How about http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov? Its a site that has an astronomy picture plus a short description for each day dating back to June 16, 1995. some of the pictures are repeats though. updated every day at 12:00 east coast time.

Here's one I find useful for the free downloadable skymap/calendar for both hemispheres.
Skymaps.com - Publication Quality Sky Maps & Star Charts

and this one I've found useful for checking the astronomers forecast in my area.

Theres this website I've been checking out whenever I have time to. It's called the Astronomy Picture of the Day, where NASA picks a picture to be the picture of the day and they tell some facts about it.

Heres the link to the archive: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html
